Het eten was lekker, de sfeer was goed, de ontvangst en bediening was warm, zorgzaam, helaas waren er erg luidruchtige andere gasten. We konden onszelf lastig horen.

We waited a bit longer than at other places, but the chicken burgers and the sloppy joe sauce on the nachos were super tasty! We enjoyed our meals.... and the music!

Went there with my wife. Food was good, but not extraordinary. The highlight was the very nice and courteous service, who gave the tip to order to order only one portion fries. He was right...

Out of curiosity I've tried out this American comfort food establishment. At my arrival I feel very welcoming, staff was sympathetic and correct. The food was nice and comfy as expected. A minus is the interior since it looks a bit outdated and needs some refurbishment. All in all positive.

Restaurant Sloppy Joe is situated at the Stadionplein near the Olympic Stadium, an average location. We used the terrace. We were welcomed in a friendly way. The service was very friendly but lacked professionality. To forget an order at then end of a busy day is something that just can happen. Understandable. However to sit together with a colleague and have a break (and a smoke!) at a table (indicated as "reserved" - reserved for whom? For customers or for staff members?) next to customers is unacceptable imo. Also it isn't professional of a staff member to complain to customers of being tired (or whatever other complaint). Furthermore, if a customer has a complaint about a dish, as a waiter/waitress you don't tell him or her that the kitchen staff doesn't agree. "A customer is always right, even if he/she is not." ???? The restaurant has an extensive beer list with some high quality special beers at an average price. Nice! The breekbrood with 3 types homemade dipping sauce was tasty (although I would have preferred brown bread instead of white bread). The Cripsy Fishy burger I ordered was delicious. Well cooked with high quality fish and well balanced ingredients and neither to little, nor too much sauce. The Veggie Burger was also well balanced but the burger itself tasted average, a bit dry. One side dish I did send back to the kitchen for being undercooked (Gamba pil pil). It was heated up and returned. The burgers were a bit pricy (at € 12,25 per piece) but, like I said if you want to taste a delicious Fish Burger, Restaurant Sloppy Joe definitely is the right place to go.

We came here on arrival in Amsterdam and liked it so much we came back during our stay :-) Really good food and friendly staff
