I went there with my partner and my grandmother after reading the great reviews on the internet about this place, and I can only say that the reviews match well with the dining experience. Kind and attentive service from the owner, delicious food and beautifully decorated place. Even my grandmother who is much for Portuguese traditional food and is hard to find another kind of cuisine that suits her loved the place. Good work!

A charming little restaurant with excellent, attentive service. Everything about it has a caring personal touch. The menu is small but both dishes we had - "moamba" and octopus, as well as the cheese cake dessert, were excellent. A real neighborhood gem definitely worth a visit. The name is very fitting indeed!

Contemporary cusine, nicely served. I had salmon tartar and bife - had a feeling that the chef prepares balsamico quite a lot. Excellent sangria!

Exquisite international bistro, built on Portuguese traditional cuisine. Absolutely excellent food. Really nice atmosphere with only 6-7 tables, surrounded by well-thought details in decoration. All the dishes we ordered were just extraordinarily tasteful. The octopus and shrimp tacos were just amazing, excellent place if you want to try octopus for the first time. Cheesecake with salted caramel, likewise. Portions are generous. It was a delight to chitchat with Fernando, the host, who definitely made our time there so much more enjoyable than just good food. It was such an exclusive dining experience, we stayed there for 3 hours. Will definitely go back whenever we are in Lisbon.

A hidden Gem, tucked away in the main centre of Lisbon. The home-like set-up and impeccable service and food, you wont be disappointed by this small family run business. The menu is simple but its packed with taste and Michelin style presentation. You will definitely be in for a treat.

The place is really nice and well decorated, we just didn't like that our tables were so long, we felt very far away from each other and felt the need to talk a bit louder than necessary. The waiter was really welcoming and the service was good and short. The baos were great (which we recommend) and also the steak was very tasty and soft, but it didn't come with a tapioca purée, so we felt like the sides were lacking a bit. Also, the moamba was good but we were expecting a richer, maybe spicier taste and more sauce. Additionally - We had a direct view to the kitchen, so we saw that the tacos were being heated on the microwave. This is not what you expect when you pay higher-than-usual prices for meals. So all in all, it wasn't bad at all, it was simply overpriced - We felt like, for the prices on the menu it should've been a much more unique experience.

Hello, thank you for your sincere comments and we respect as customer. The reason for the table being a bit long is because it is an area where we also sit groups from 3 to 12 people. As for tapioca puree, they were informed that it was not suitable to be served. As for Moamba is an Angolan dish that is not spicy, if you wanted spicy just ask the employee. As for the microwave, I would like to inform you that our equipment is 2 in 1 (oven and microwave) and also ask how many restaurant kitchens you know that do NOT have microwaves?!? And yes, we have no problem using it in view of our customers, showing transparency, hygiene of what we do and serve our customers! Regarding our prices ... we just need to inform you that you have come to dinner at Principe Real, one of the most "In" and emblematic areas of Portugal and our average price per person around 20 €, for some, has been and still is a unique experience, and come back whenever they can, but we understand as professionals. Our best Regards...
