My favourite restaurant in Daylesford. We have never been disappointed. A friendly welcome, great staff and great chefs. Always brings back memories of being in Varanasi and an excellent place to bring friends or have take away at home. Very Indian in decor, very authentic. Jude and Millie

The food was good. My only complaint is that the female toilets were completely filthy. The ambience too was let down by the music videos on display glorifying riffles and gangs. I’m not a fussy person by any stretch but I feel the owners would benefit greatly by dealing with these 2 issues.

Zero authenticity in the flavours. Long wait time. Ordered a chicken Briyani was served something like Pulao. Do not recommend. Very expensive with no quality...

They can really make spicy foods, if you like spicy go for 10/10 spicy ????. The service is nice and the environment is awesome.

Great service and atmosphere. The food was delicious and fresh. I enjoyed the baingan dish and the pakoras. Tasted very authentic. The price was also very reasonable.

The food at Spice of India restaurant was absolutely delicious. The Staff were very attentive and the menu is extensive with very reasonable prices. The meals were fresh and hot. There was also plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian main and entree courses. Will most certainly return.

The food was good food, The waitress friendly, but the service was slow considering the restaurant was not overly busy. Suggest thatprospective patrons should book ahead, as a number of diners were turned away during our visit. Possibly due to reduced seating capacity due to Covid.

Authentic down to earth traditional food from the north of India. Light, non-greasy & as good as we’ve had in Oz. Having travelled around India, this was as good as we’ve had anywhere in OZ.

Just out of town (need a car). The atmosphere was particularly average but the food was absolutely outstanding and great value for money. Had Beef Rogan Josh and Lamb Korma. Cooked medium hot for my wife’s taste but I had a small tub of fresh green chilli to spice mine up. As far as I can remember, that was the best Indian food I’ve had anywhere in Australia! Yum!!!!
