The waitress sadly wasn’t on the ball and didn’t take the order correctly. Sadly the menu choice I would have preferred was no longer available but not given much time to choose alternative. My friend foolishly chose a falafel choice which she said was awful. On the other hand, I wouldn’t expect a pub to excel in this type of cuisine. My poached egg on the fish cakes was dried out so wasn’t runny…. maybe that is normal, but I usually expect poached eggs to be runny….Overall however the pub offers good value for money and maybe our expectations were too high?

A really disappointing meal in this lovely spot by the Thames. The service was almost non-existent and very curt. When our main courses were eventually swept away, we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, which never materialised. We therefore gave up and went to the bar to pay the bill, which was wrong and was reluctantly rectified. The pork belly dish was very tough, but I was never given the opportunity to share this with any member of staff. They appeared inexperienced and under- trained, totally overwhelmed by too many diners.

Great location. Options for outside dining as well as inside. Varied menu with classic Mitchells & Butler brand staples. Some new dishes. Food delicious and good value.

food good service fine position on the patio looking over the Thames fantastic. When you look at othe r places this has an unenviable advantage sat metres from the waters edge watching the boats go by absolutely brilliant. Food good but not great portions on small side service good without being great also but good enough well worth a visit especially on a warm evening

Lovely seafood linguine in the sunshine by the river. Staff were friendly and attentive. Beer choice was a little limited but enjoyed the Mad Goose.
