10/10Weer heerlijk gegeten bij de Villa, vooraf een broodje met dips, voor allebei de een met cranberry’s. Helle bijzondere maar lekkere bereiding. Als hoofd een vegan steak tartaar en hertenbiefstuk. Wat allebei prachtige en heerlijke gerechten waren. En dit alles afgerond met kokosmakroon en chocolade dessert. Daarbij perfecte bediening dus echt een topavond gehad.

8/10Stadsvilla definitely has the most beautiful view of Arnhem. Even only with one drink, you can enjoy the amazing landscape of park and the warm yet busy atmosphere of the cafe. We had group of friends for an annual event. The long table was set in the private dinner place, and the interior was absolutely elegant and formal, off white not too much classic but modern. It was really beautifully decorated. Everybody was excited at first place. The service was excellent too. We had 3-gang dinner. For me over all is good, only very few fault which i do not think necessary to go together with the dish. It even lets down a bit the whole dish. I have ordered duck breast as the main. The duck skin was crisply cooked, meat was tender and the duck sauce was delicious. Served with good seasoned potato puree. Unfortunately, 'ossenstaatkroketje' sat strangely in the dish, deep fried and dry. Feel a bit pity, otherwise will be perfect dish. Finally, peanut ice was rich and creamy, matched well with creme brulee. Again, a piece peanut chocolate appeared unexpected. It did not do anything there. Overall the group dinning experience was great and wonderful. The atmosphere is super.

High above on the Hartjesberg is Stadsvilla Sonsbeek, and if this sounds like the beginning of a fairy tale, that's okay. A Arnhem tale, starring a beautiful, monumental building from 1744, on the border of a park. The Stadsvilla has been rennovated in 2014 and is decorated by entrepreneurs, designers and artists from Arnhem. The Grand Café serves breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner throughout the day.
