About the restaurant Sugar and Spice Bites

Indian food is more than a curry. At Sugar and Spice Bites we create our own combinations of spices and our dishes including our own unique curry. Our most popular product is 5 course Indian Tapas Dinner.
Over past three years, we received very good recognition as evident on Google, our facebook page and Trip Advisor. Thanks to our client community.
Some of the accolades that we received are given below for your reference.

- No 9 in Top 10 restaurants in Haarlems Dagblad 2016 with Price/Quality ratio of 9/10
- Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor 2017
- 'Best Indian Tapas Restaurant North Holland' by Worldwide Business Review UK 2017
- 'Haarlem's Most Outstanding Indian Restaurant 2018' title under Netherlands Enterprise Awards (across all sectors) by Worldwide Business Review UK 2018

We also worked with corporates like Google in Amsterdam during this three year journey. So if you have any request for party catering etc please let us know. We can create something nice and customised for your requirement.

Note : The restaurant has dark glasses so from outside you might think we are closed but try to step in.

Walking in from the outside you might not believe that you're embarking on a journey through India. We were greeted enthusiastically by the owner who explained the concept of this lovely restaurant to us; Showing another side of Indian cuisine.

Our 5 course dinner started off taking us from north to south. Delishes street food from Mumbai, Dosa's with amazing chutney. A symphony of flavors dancing in our mouths after a mouthwatering curry.

We enjoyed the story telling behind all these dishes greatly. It really sent us in that journey.

All in all, an experience to enjoy, to awaken the taste buds, delightful taste explosions, a joyful culinary journey through India.

This restaurant should have a Michelin star! The food was delicious, they use interesting spices that don't make it hot /spicey that you can't taste it but just perfectly balanced. There is some theater, that sizzling brownie was amazing and the owner tells some interesting things about each course. We had the 5 course tasting menu plus the brownie ???? You can also take a shot paring which goes perfectly with the Indian spices.

Sometimes you open an oyster and you find a pearl. We werd surprised with unique Indian dishes which we never had in any restaurant before. We appreciated the explanations of the owners. I really recommend this concept. Go past the awkward entrance and take a seat in the comfy chairs. It's an experience you'll never forget. We will be back zoon to Discovery the rest.

Great indian street food. One that was missing in Holland. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasurable, better than the typical look of an Indian restaurant. Also, it's different than a typical Indian restaurant generally. Service was good and the food well prepared. Would definitely recommend.
