About the restaurant

Historic dining on a mound

Before the invention of the dike, inhabitants increased their residence to protect themselves against the sea. This is called a mound. On an ancient mound near Groningen is located the historic village Wirdum. Not only presenting the oldest Dutch culture, but also the pleasant and delightful restaurant ‘t Regthuys. From this restaurant you have a beautiful view of the old church and Groningen nature.
