Warm service. Excellent typical food Should try the tuna wirh mashed potatoes and Wasabi or the cod fish done the portuguese way. On starters, our choice were the very isboette and delicious Peixinhos da Horta. All excellent!

I am happy I found this restaurant amongst other that are gathered around this area. It was very good place to visit with my boyfriend and his parents. The main thing to expect is of course service in English which was up to level. The road to the restaurant was clean and the interior was very cozy.

Good food, they were busy, need to make reservations, not a tourist trap.

Vegan burger had mayonnaise inside. When we asked for it without they simply scraped the mayo off the burger (which had already been cut in half) and put it on a plate with salad leaves, no dressing. Vegan food was not a special request from us, this burger was advertised as vegan. We chose this restaurant on Zomato exactly because it is supposed to have vegan options. Portions were nowhere near generous enough - just burger and salad. We had to order chips on the side. The only part of the meal we enjoyed was the soup which was excellent but the experience was so bad overall in terms of food and service that we cannot recommend this restaurant.

A real find. Food was fantastic, simple 1 page menu, done well. Grilled sardines and the osso bucco were standouts, as was the small lime pie. The proprietors were available with helpful explanations and suggestions, without being overbearing. Kudos to the team.

Initially a bit hard to find . Up a side alley but so so worth looking! Delicious cod cakes and lamb meatballs to start. Beatrice took great care of us and made great suggestions. Then salmon and cod dishes which were as beautiful as they tasted. Great wine . Casual family friendly restaurant with friendly people. Made our first dinner in Portugal memorable. We will be back!

Awesome food!

This is a simple restaurant with a very welcoming owner or maitre d', the food is first class and the service quite attentive. A far cry from the frequent tourist trap. It's on a side street, not easily seen from the main thoroughfare, but worth visiting for genuine Portuguese cuisine and atmosphere.

Very tasty food and very close to the monastery (therefore very convenient as a tourist)

the food was nice, overall. we were seven people and ordered different dishes. the duck looked like it had been cooked 2 days ago and the sauce of the Ferreiro codfish was a little bit artificial, like they were using artificial powder to make the sauce taste good.. I expected more.

This is a delightful local restaurant. Small, unassuming but welcoming. Staff lovely and helpful. Limited but good range of choices including vegetarian. Home made food and deserts. Sensible pricing. We will visit again.

This little restaurant is excellent. The staff is super friendly and the food was amazing. I can only recommend this place. It was good we made a reservation since they had to turn away costomers past 8 pm because the place was packed.

Excellent little restaurant, very nice waiter, and the food was excellent (all from the starters to the dessert). We can really recommend it. It is just 50 meters in a small alley away from the main street in Belem.
