About the restaurant Taberna el Arco

¿A qué estás esperando?

We had paella with seafood and sangria, everything was very good and satisfied our expectations. The service was nice and fast. The place is informal but nice, I would come back again.

Super cute and cozy place! Portions generous, they do paella in different ways and we took the one with chicken and fiah, they made it for 3 pax, but cotld be even for 4! patatas bravas as a starters (like 5 euro but really good portion to share in 3) two sangrias, water an coffe, less then 20euros each! and you are in the midde of the city! perfect deal to eat spanish food!

The worst experience in Madrid. I don’t understand why this restaurant is top list for paella in Madrid. Wrong rice for paella and cheap table salt taste in my mouth. It looked like precooked and warmed it up in a pan. I couldn’t finish it. Very disappointing. I would avoid this restaurant.

Food was good, service was okay. I find that there is a fine line between too much attention and not enough. It would have been grand had there been a bit more attention, see if i wanted another glass of wine while eating. More tap water, or at least asking would’ve been good. I enjoyed the mixed seafood paella for my main and the prawn tapa for my starter.

Very tasty good! Great paella, prices are a bit higher than they should be because it’s in a tourist spot. No regrets as food was delicious!

It's a small restaurant near the Florist flower shop. Me and my friend tried seafood paelle and fried squid and both of them were above average. our servant Maria was friendly and gentle. I think we will come back again in the future.

We went to this restaurant based on reviews in Trip Advisor that gave it a high rating of 4.5 stars. It was our last night in Madrid and my birthday so we thought a celebration was in order. I couldn’t have been more shocked when I walked in the restaurant that is just a hole in the wall that smells to boot. We ordered the paella which is one of its signature dishes and certainly the highlight of our experience despite being “crunchy” at times and finding a 2” sharp shard of shell that had I swallowed it would have required a visit to the emergency room. I sincerely doubt the high ratings of this restaurant, believing it is one certainly at be avoided. We would have had a better celebration eating in the hotel bar restaurant. Unforgettably and miserably disappointing.

This is a relatively modest and simple family-run restaurant, with excellent paella and tapas, and really friendly and helpful people. We had a wonderful evening and great meal.
