10/10A surprise find On the third day traveling from Belgium to Portugal, we ended up having lunch in Santander. As usual, I checked The Fork for an attractive place to have some tapas. I was lucky enough to spot Tapería Jaleo amongst the Special Offers. What a nice find! The food was succulent and the service friendly and impeccable. As my husband is a vegetarian and the menu didn’t offer any vegetarian dishes, the waiter told him not to worry, the chef would know how to accommodate him. To my husband’s delight, the dish presented to him was splendid and really tasty. Mine too was delicious. We followed up with superb desserts and left the restaurant fully satisfied.

10/10We sat outside with our dog. It was a cold day so we were especially grateful for the outdoor heaters. The staff was attentive, kind, and food was definitely above average. The croquette’s and the beef tips were our favorite.

9/10A friendly welcome from Corvi who seated us inside. He was so thoughtful in speaking English which helped us. We shared a great range of tapas. Ensalada of the day which was avocado and octopus; potato bravas and a hamburger. Tasty and excellent value. Only negative was a rude man smoking inside next to our table - sadly you can't teach manners.

8.5/10We ordered a few different things on the menu and the quality was good although a few things were very, very good (scallops, nuevas bravas and sirloin) and some were okay (mozzarella salad, cheese plate). Staff were friendly and nice and we liked the decor. Would definitely recommend.

10/10We booked a table for 7.30 and arrived early which wasn't a problem at all. We ordered 2 dishes each which did not disappoint. Each dish was presented well and each of us received one of our dishes, which was taken away when finished and then the other dish presented. We then ordered more. Service was speedy and attentive. We would certainly recommend Tapería Lío.

8/10The restaurant is fine, in a great location, and the food was good - the "tartar de salmón" is the best dish, but the "zamburiñas" (their specialty) were not that great. But overall it is worth giving it a try.

10/10Delicious and imaginative tapas. We stopped on the way down to Madrid a d would have loved to have stayed longer to sample dessert. Will definitely be going back next time I'm in Salamanca.
