We regularly visit Taste of India and have never been disappointed. The food and service are always of high standard. It is really good value for money. Table booking is recommended on weekends.
We regularly visit Taste of India and we enjoy the atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food every time. The Tandoori lamb chops dish is my favourite.
Attentive and quick staff and food was amazing for a decent price really happy with our visit and would highly recommend
We visited the Taste of India with 10 person. It's a small and cozy place. The head of the restaurant offered us to make us some different dishes of his choice so we can have a lot of different food which we can taste. We agreed to that. The choice of food was great. Also some Tandoori specials were included. It was really delicious and so we had a very nice evening at the Taste of India! Thank you and we can really recommend this restaurant if you like Indian food! If we will ever be back in Haarlem we visit you again!
Good food - both quality and quantity. Generous hosts
Seating was a little cramped as there was a big group in the middle, but the food was amazing!
The vegetarian dishes we ordered would have been better had they been more creatively spiced. I found the spicing to be quite ordinary and thus not especially appealing to the palate. The mango ice cream was disappointing. It was ostentatiously served with whipped cream and colorful party-favors as if it were a banana split. It was so frozen I thought it first it was just frozen blocks of mango, which was not the case. But it was also entirely lacking in creaminess and had been so homogenized in a blender that no pieces of mango were left to be tasted. I wondered if it was mango sorbet that made with fruit juice and some milk, rather than mango ice cream made with heavy cream or heavy cream and some milk. A good Indian mango ice cream should be deliciously creamy and contain actual chunks of mango! And there was also no "peshwari nan" with sultanas baked in! A "Taste of India" needs to work harder if it want to become a good Indian restaurant rather than an average or above-average one! A good Indian
Very nice food. The Butter chicken was delicious. Staff is very kind and it did not take long for the food to be prepared. Perfect. See you soon.
Lovely little Indian restaurant in central Haarlem. Food is good, genuine Indian spices and flavours.
Nice food. Good service. The place is ok no fancy at all and in all honesty little dirty. The stair going to the bathroom and the bathroom were not super clean and the restaurant. need a clean up but...food and people was very good
It was an amazing indian experience! We asked for vegan options and almost everything could go the vegan way! Thank you for everything we've really enjoyed it!
We were welcomed and quickly shown to our reserved table. The food was very tasty and portions were more than adequate. We did not receive one item, the raita, and were charged for it, but the waitress quickly removed it from the bill when I pointed it out. On a busy Saturday night it was as noisy as a British pub and they do not take credit cards, at least they refused my American ones, so bring cash.
Food was alright. Not amazing not bad. Service could definitely improve. Very slow and not professional. Napkins were tossed on the table in front of your nose. We ordered mango chutney but never got it, after telling the waitres she went into the back but never came back with the chutney. It was on the bill. The payment system was broken so we had to pay in cash, which would be ok if we had the right amount. The waitresses were too slow so we left and leaving them with a generous tip they don't deserve. Definitely not going back in a while and not going to recommend it.
My goodness, hands down one of the few most amazing meals I have had for a long time. I have tried more Indian restaurants in Haarlem and this is personally my favourite so far. Amazing service, homey atmosphere and located in the city centre. It's just perfect. Ps. yes, when they say it's spicy, it is spicy.
Really nice and friendly staff! Food was amazing! Rice is delicious! Everyone should stop at least once! It feels like being in India!
Delicious authrntoc Indian good, good service and although not very spacious the restaurant had an excellent ambiance
Very nice food. My boyfriend and I eat a lot and we were very full with a lamb menu (really tasty meat) and a samosa (very good!). Great quality/price.
Taste of India has been our "go to" restaurant every month for about a year now. We love it! Food has been outstanding every time: home made, full of flavors, and with just the right amount of spiciness. Service is great, always attentive and efficient. Overall, it is a small, family style restaurant serving authentic Indian food at a very affordable price! Decor could use an upgrade but it just adds up to the charm of the place. Go in with your eyes closed, you won't be disappointed!
Gedempte Oude Gracht 53, 2011 GL, Haarlem, Netherlands
Taste of India is a charming Indian restaurant located in the heart of Haarlem. The restaurant began as a takeaway and delivery restaurant in 1998 and has grown into an excellent Indian restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meals.
The restaurant is known for its friendly service and excellent traditional menu.
Even those who do not really like to spicy dishes can also visit Taste of India, because you can always count on the advice of the owners when you want something less spicy!
