Guy in charge too overwhelmed with work, service very slow. Seemed like they tried to accommodate more people rather than serve the people they already had correctly. A real shame as we ate here a few nights ago and it was great. Lovely setting but they need more competent staff.

Fabulous dinner! From the start the service was excellent! Hostess, waitress, wine steward, server were all excellent. Our meal was delicious. Eggplant and octopus were wonderful. Both past dishes were cooked perfectly as was fish. Tempted to go back tomorrow!!

Guy in charge too stressed, he needs to not try to accommodate so many walk ins and concentrate on giving better service to those who booked and are sitting down. He needs more competent help. Location is great and food very nice apart from one dish where the "light" sauce was water. Such a shame as it could be a great place.

We had a great meal at Taverna Buonvicino - the food is fresh and inventive. The service was superb and it was nice to be away from the madding crowd for some peace and calm. The day following our meal, we ran into our server, who greeted us like old friends and chatted for a bit, offering some insights about local attractions. Really would highly recommend.

First time in Italy that I experienced what I can unfortunately only interpret as anti-Semitism. I wear a Jewish star on my neck with the Hebrew word for life inscribed inside of it. I wear it all the time and never remove it. It was hidden in my shirt, then slipped out unintentionally. At that point the team working there saw it, then immediately did a total 180 on their attitudes and behavior towards my wife and I. We were ignored for a while when trying to check in for our reservation that we made 3 months ago as they spoke to and sat everyone else that arrived after us. Once we were seated the pattern continued ignoring us and addressing literally every other table near us. Finally and seemed like almost to their dismay we were addressed and able to order. When food arrived at other tables, we saw every other table able to finish every last bite eagerly of their meals but ours came out with what looked and tasted like a pound of salt dumped on top of each of our entrees like it was the intent to ruin our food and encourage us to hurry up and leave. So I suppose if you are Jewish and wear any symbols of it, don’t eat here. They clearly think less of us and don’t want our business. I will never return and I will tell every person that will ask to never eat here. A very disappointing evening during an otherwise spectacular honeymoon enjoying Italy.

La nostra cultura e il popolo amalfitano è da sempre riconosciuto in tutto il mondo per la sua accoglienza. Non abbiamo mai trattato le persone secondo la loro provenienza, credo o cultura. Tantomeno ci soffermiamo a guardare cosa indossano i nostri clienti per poi giudicarli. Noi al ristorante lavoriamo e anche sodo, come ha potuto notare. Non abbiamo il tempo per simili fantasie, la nostra vocazione è soddisfare i nostri clienti . E', ribadiamo, il nostro lavoro dipende soprattutto dall'accogliere chiunque voglia apprezzare la nostra cucina e la nostra ospitalità. Ci dispiace che lei si sia sentito discriminato e le consigliamo di vivere le sue vacanze sentendosi cittadino del mondo...Amalfi vive diversità di religione, colore e razza da millenni e non sarà una recensione mendace a cambiare il nostro modus operandi

Great little restaurant tucked away from the main thoroughfare. Previous positive reviews were what sold us on going here. Service was exceptional - Salvatore was very attentive and made some great recommendations (including the 2nd bottle of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed). Ambiance was perfect for a quaint little Italian restaurant and the food for the most part was exceptional. Unfortunately the pork dish was slightly over cooked and the meat quite dry but the other dishes were very good. Would go back here again.

Charming little restaurant with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had the codfish, my husband has octopus and both my children had entrecôte, all the dishes were delicious. We had a delightful evening, I was so glad we found it. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent as was the food. I have some knowledge of Italian wines but not enough to choose from the extensive wine menu. The waiter helped me choose a wine that we both loved and went well with the food. The only slight problem was probably due to translation to the English menu - the term ‘entrecôte’ was used to describe one of our meat dishes when in fact it was more like a veal escalope. We probably should have double checked.

Average food. Didn’t think the quality matched the price charged. Three small pieces of breaded cod as an appetizer for 20€. The seafood pasta was mostly mussels with two small prawns and tough cuttlefish.

Get the mussels, highlight of the meal. Pasta was pretty bad, and service was horrible. We watched another table sit 20 minutes after us and receive their wine and meals before we received a wine list or bread. Maybe other servers are better so potentially service is better than what we experienced
