Our first time in Florence and our first meal out and we certainly made the right decision , the lasagne ( not on the menu ) had been freshly prepared with fresh pasta and was the best I’ve tasted .... not to mention the cured seabass and apple stater ... sadly we were too full for a dessert but I imagine it would have been equally as good !

Delightful dinner, with great recommendations from Umberto. Many tableside preparations which made everything feel so special and extra-attention. Fantastic wine recommendations, and while I couldn’t do the desserts really enjoyed the home-made “basil-cello”. Buonissimo!

Everything was excellent, the service, explanation of dishes, the food , the quality of the ingredients . We were 6 of us and shared 3 appetizers and a pasta. Everything was split in 6 by the server, plates were changed after each dish. It was fantastic, highly recommended

Loved every bite !! Fish Bronzino style is a must try and the beef was so tender you didn’t really need a knife.
Couldn’t pass up dessert even though we were stuffed .. delicious!

While a little distant from our hotel, I am enthusiastic about this restaurant. The greeting and hospitality were excellent, the food outstanding and the service was attentive. Our host (possibly the owner) knew his wines and we followed his recommendations. This restaurant has a homey, comfortable feel and was not expensive.

The food was mediocre at best. Service was very good: faultless in fact. It felt like a bit of a tourist trap: eg plenty of English speaking diners.
It ain’t cheap, (€90 for 2 inc wine). Compared to our rustic lunch at a nearby restaurant (crammed with Italians), it came out second best. And lunch was a third of the price.
