We visited the taverna on August 12 and had very high expectations. It is wonderfully located and offers a great view with San Gimignano in the background. However, most of the meals as well as the service were subpar. I will skip the minor incidents and will only say that the bistecca Fiorentina was clearly off: it had a distinct smell that no edible meat should have. We've had more than a few dozen of fiorentinas all over Toscana, so I think we know how a real bistecca fiorentina should smell. Also, the service must be instructed that when a guest spill a peach juice on the table, the whole table cloth must be changed, not just wiped. Overall, not up to high Tuscan standards.

Prachtig uitzicht op het terras over de Toscaanse heuvels en San Gimignano; daarvoor kun je naar dit restaurant komen. Prima service. Eten is middelmatig.

Location stupenda immersa nel verde con vista su San Gimignano. Ristorante super curato, cibo buono e abbondante con servizio puntuale e cortese. Da tornare e consigliare!

A very good restaurant with pleasant staff. They can speak English quite well. The surroundings are beautiful on their terrace. The food is from excellent quality, all fresh etc. The only flaw we found was that they did not give a 20% reduction like they state to give on a reservation through the Fork

Wonderful place with very friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommended!! We were a table of 8 and everything was absolutely perfect
