Great atmosphere with authentic portuguese dishes and dessert. Our favourite dish was the peri peri chicken which was recommended by the welcoming waiter, cooked with charcoal.

The staff could have been better, hadn’t the maitre been present - you had to fight for his attention despite the restaurant not being full, and he got our ordination wrong, and his advice on the size of the portion was completely messed up. We are in two hours more or less, and half of the tables present were EMPTY. The food was so-and-so - the duck rice was fine, but the grilled meat was poor in quality and quantity.

Typical Portuguese cuisine. The vitela cutlets for two that came to the table was very very rare. We could not even chew it. We asked for them to cook it a bit more. They seemed to be annoyed at the request. We were relieved that it came back to us cooked properly. Well done on the outside and rare only in the middle. The waiters were a bit taciturn. We would have enjoyed it more if they had been more welcoming, more communicative and nicer to us.

Our waiter was appalling. He was rude, inattentive and couldn't tell us anything about the two wines we were considering. Our food was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. The owner or chef who brought it back out was very apologetic but no discount or compensation was offered. Extremely disappointing and not good value for money.

The food was less than average and nasty. Some dishes from menu were missing. The salmon was raw and poorly cooked. The service was horrible.

Get away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and enjoy real Portuguese food. The service is amazing, too! Highly recommended.
