Great service and great food

This was our second time at La Taverna. The food is always great, and so are the service and the decoration. But there were 2 mistakes made for dessert, announcing desserts that ended up not being available, and another mistake on the bill with one of these desserts included.... Not a big deal in the end but we've been here before and we know the high standards of this establishment, we hoped for better.

The Taverna la Fenice was a recommendation by our Hotel - well done! We are happy that we have accepted the recommendation for New Year’s eve. Despite they had a menu this evening from 7pm on, they accepted our reservation for 6pm and offered a regular a la carte dinner for us which was perfect as we had tickets for the opera. The service was great, very friendly and extremely quick and the dinner was excellent. What else should one want for a perfect evening?

A beautiful restaurant that caters to all eating styles. My vegans were especially pleased their selections were clearly marked. Service was top notch. A bit fancier than we anticipated, it was a delicious dinner in a beautiful location.

A lovely romantic spot to celebrate an engagement! Service was impeccable and food well paced and delicious. Hope to come back for an anniversary!

Good food, fair price, lovely place. Service not particiularly friendly...or unfriendly....just ‘okay’.

This is a lovely restaurant recommended by other travellers here in Venice. It was a special dinner we had planed for a birthday celebration but unfortunately our server didn’t didn’t feel the same. He seemed annoyed and unhappy. We tried to be pleasant, asked how he was in which he replied “tired”. There is a $5 euro per person cover charge on top of a pricier menu so we felt disappointed in our experience as a whole. I’m hesitant to recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fun upbeat service... unless this was a one off. The food was good, but not overly memorable. Table setting and formal dinner service (minus personality) was good but the compatibility with the server made the whole experience underwhelming for the cost.

We had a wunderfull night with personal attention. Quality food. Laughing with the waiters and a tranquill view on the streets of Venice. I would definetly recommend to sit outside.

The food was tasteless. We ask for a table outside, there was one free, but they said it was for 4 people. The table stayed alone the whole night.

Very nice food. We had the two meta dishes. The tender veal and the earl in Barollo sauce. Bothe tender and tasty.

Wonderful meal with top notch service.

Once again on our second visit, the food and service was impeccable. The house wine deep and punchy, Even though we were seated on the ‘Table that rocked’ it took nothing away from the amazing experience

Fantastic from the minute we walked in, service was fast and efficient. Even though it was late in the evening (21:30) all the staff looked like they wanted to be there, which just progressed to the diners. Food was excellent (tiramisu was to die for). Couldn’t recommend this place enough

We had a lovely table outdoors in a small, quiet square. Wonderful service and food. We enjoyed pasta with truffles, veal rossini and turbot.

Great last minute choice. As I was searching for the Firebird Theatre I found this charming restaurant. I immediately researched other reviews and decided to try it. Thanks to The Fork for helping me secure reservations which I recommend others to do otherwise you will have to wait. Food was inventive!

Only a “light dinner” menu was available. We chose this place in order to have dinner before the opera and expected a full menu. The waiter did his best to be accommodating but had to be reminded to bring coffee and never did provide the gluten-free bread.

Delicious. Perfect place for a special occasion.
