Beautiful room and table settings. The food was really good but the service could have been better. There was a lack of staff with nobody asking if everything was satisfactory. We had to tell them we had finished and then they brought us the bill. We felt a bit neglected.

I took my Mum for an afternoon tea here, and she and I absolutely loved it. The tea room was beautiful, and had such a lovely, comfortable feel to it. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We were looked after by Ian, and he was just the nicest person. He checked often that we were happy with everything and nothing was too much trouble for him. An all round lovely lovely experience.

The Tea rooms where beautifully decorated. Food was delicious. Excellent service, especially Ian - nothing was too much trouble. Made celebration of my mum's 80th extra special. Highly recommend.

Took my mother here, she absolutely loved it and so did I!! Definitely will be going back! The scones are to die for they come out still warm!!!

Our family of 4 had a lovely afternoon tea on 31st March. The scones were small but I prefer that as I don’t like feeling too full. The tea room has a great view of the garden and is very tastefully decirated

This is the third time I have eaten at The Tea Room and the food is always good, and the service excellent. We varied the sandwich content slightly from the standard offering, which was done without fuss, but weren't advised what was in the sandwiches when they arrived. I am not sure what the content was in one of them, but all very good. I would definitely recommend this venue for a tasty treat.

The service was absolutely terrible. The waiters had no idea about anything that was asked such as what teas and coffees they have and if they have hot chocolate or not. They then had no knowledge about the food being served. When requested them to to attend to us we were shouted at from another table and told to wait, which is really unprofessional. The food took a while to come and the portions were extremely small and not filling. The tea refill took so long that we had finished our food bu then and the food did not seem fresh (sandwiches). Was really disappointed with the service and the whole experience was really unpleasant

Our first time at this tea room, so we didn't know what to expect. The tea room is beautifully decorated and very clean. We booked the vegan afternoon tea and were so happy to get a full selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked warm scones with cream and jam and a selection of cakes with lots of tea to wash it all down with. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were happy to bring us Prosecco at request and we asked for tea refills 3 times. The price is reasonable too, considering the location. We will definitely be back. The only suggestion would be, as other reviewers have mentioned, would be to have some background music, as it was very quiet.

Lovely room. Lovely staff. Some music would be nice as it’s very quiet! Food lovely but needs more sandwiches and fewer cakes. Scones are warm and delicious - the best but! Unlimited tea which is great too. Child friendly.

Lovely afternoon tea. We had the tea room to ourselves for the first hour. Waiter came back within a few minutes of bringing our food to check everything was ok. I had to call someone from outside the room to ask for more tea and jam. Also we had to help ourselves to more water from a table. Food was good but service was poor

The tea room is very pleasant and the food was nice but we were disappointed with the service, had to call the server over when we wanted more tea or clean cutlery, she was not very attentive. The manager was very selective who he spoke to, ignored our table completely, the lady who showed us to our table and brought our bill was very pleasant. It was nice but we have had better.

Staff member who seated us was not trained. Did not explain what savouries were and then vanished after serving us. Twice we had to hunt for a staff member to get more tea. My friend asked for more water but I was not asked if I wanted a refill. Then when I asked for more tea, my friend had to call across the room for her top up as the server did not automatically ask if both of us wanted a refill. Been here before but service this time was not up to standard
