Unique and fabulous dining experience in Rome! This incredible restaurant is located on the fourth floor in the wonderful Eitch Barromini Hotel. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated (as we had reservations) in cozy room with a window looking down into the Piazza Navona.
Our wonderful waiter informed us of their specials of the day that ranged from a tuna tartare to a truffle pasta to a Tuscan steak with fois gras to a sea bass crusted with zucchini. The menu was just as mouth watering as the specials of the day.
Our table ordered the indulgent Tuscan steak with fois gras, a seven hour lamb shank, the perfectly cooked sea bass and the fall of the bone confit pork ribs.
After we placed our order the delightful sommelier came over and asked us what type of wine we would like with dinner. We agreed that we wanted a red wine but unsure what would be a match with our various dishes. He brought us 3 options with 3 different price ranges. He clearly explained what makes each one unique. And we settled in a Super Tuscan. He then instructed us the proper way to decant the wine and how to prepare the wine glasses. His recommendation was one of the best wines we’ve we’ve had. It matched perfectly with our dinner selections.
Which was one of the best meals we’ve had in the last three years we’ve been visiting Rome.
If you want a memorable, flavorful dining experience with local Tuscan ingredients and a warm, friendly staff you must eat here. Every bite of food and sips of wine will make you a die hard fan of Terrazza Barromini!

Excellent setting with excellent food. Great service. Evening unfortunately spoiled by receiving phone call after eating telling me I had not attended When corrected the lady told me I should not have been able to book the terrace on line. What a nonsense as booking was clear. We were expected and received great service. This restaurant needs to sort out its administration instead of upsetting guests after a perfectly good meal. I would recommend this place but after her call I am not so sure. No apology was forthcoming.

Pasta unfortunately was over salted and tuna I never tried stinky as this one ...first dinner in Rome and total failure. This place for people without any sense of taste , really sad .

The setting we had was spectacular!! The food was rather ordinary as was the service which was kind and polite but we got forgotten a few times. As we weren’t in any hurry, we didn’t mind. The only problem was in choosing our wine. We should have insisted on seeing a wine list and choosing our own both for taste and more importantly for price,? which was stupidly outrageous, as the wine was good but not vintage and not worth the price tag. The sommelier did not even offer a wine list to us but seeing good humored tourists celebrating a birthday told us he’d choose. Our mistake but in future we will be on our guard. So, we had fun but the place is not really special for food but has a nice ambiance and watch the wine list.

It was our worst experience in all of Italy. We were initially seated on the patio. It was 45 degrees F. We asked to be moved inside after 15 mins of freezing. From there on, we had no attention from the wait staff. Food was marginal at best. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. For 165 euro we expected more

Wonderful place to have a drink upstairs at the outdoor bar. Downstairs, at the restaurant, we were seated at a lousy indoor table even though plenty outdoor were available. Asked to be moved. Sommelier tries to sell you a 1500 € bottle of wine. Looong waits for food even though not crowded. One first course forgotten, then shortly brought back. Food is mediocre. You can get as good lots of places. Go for drink upstairs. Have dinner elsewhere.

Amazing view of Rome from terrace on a time of sunset is fantastic and romantic ! Highly recommended for those who is looking to enjoy their time. The food was alright, typical hotel restaurant. The spectacular thing with Terazza Borromini is the building so if there during the warmer periods definitely ask for a table on the terrace. Don’t confuse the booking here with bookings to the roof top bar (which you definitely need to visit, especially during sunset). You book a table there separately - it’s a must when visiting Rome.

The food was okay, but I found a hair in my veal meatball and they were not tender and and served cold. The service was good up until the end when we were told that tip isn’t included, probably because we are tourists, although we know it’s not customary to tip here. The wine was good but it was overpriced for the quality. The cheese and meat plate was the only thing we really enjoyed.
