3/10Mediocre, expensive hotel food with pretence but no delivery on the quality. Hot rosé, cold food, half a radish with supermarket cheese, a stupid carrot stoemp for 19 € with old potatoes (the house speciality, I was told), no single interest given to making things up, not bringing the ordered tea. Exiting the place, you have to bridge fallen trees, a testimony that they care as much about appearance as about the food.

7.5/10Price fixed menu on Christmas Eve left something to be desired. Too many raw options. Prefer our food cooked. Especially given the hypersensitivity of viral and bacterial spread in the world, uncooked food needs to be reconsidered as very little on the fixed menu felt remotely like Christmas and too much into being artistic. The staff were lovely. The cooked food options were acceptable but it was hardly a memorable dinner. Disappointed.

Chère Madame , Nous avons pris connaissance de votre avis suite à votre venue au 1040. Nous sommes navrés que vous n’ayez pu apprécier le nouveau menu d'automne du restaurant. Les chefs, Jean-Philippe Watteyne et Gabriele Pettruci et leur équipe, sont des plus soucieux à ne travailler qu’avec des produits frais et de saison. Chaque entrée, plat est réalisé à la minute et nous sommes fier de pouvoir également produire tous nos desserts maison. Concernant la cuissons de votre viande, je vous présente mes sincères excuses pour cette regrettable expérience qui a entravée la qualité de votre repas. 7/10Food is well presented but dishes haven't blown us away. Consider it pimped up home food. Part of the dish (patatoe-carot mash) was cold. Service could be better too: waiters took 2 half full glasses away (we luckily took them back), also took half a portion of french fries away. Drinks arrived after we finished starters. One portions of patatoes were forgotten, we had to ask for it. Everyone is trying hard, but too many mistakes happened. Decoration and atmosphere are excellent.

10/10This restaurant was an impressive experience. The service was way better comparing to Brussels' restaurants and not only the quality of food but also the preparation of the plates was great! The kitchen totally open is super cool. I suggest a table close to it. I will come back soon.
