The restaurant was nice with a good atmosphere. However, the service was somewhat slow. It was very busy but the management should have known Saturday would be busy, so put more staff on. The staff were very nice despite this.

Good menu with a great choice. Server checked for allergies before we ordered. A nice large table for 5 people, but a little noisy in the pub/restaurant which made conversation just a little difficult. But we had a nice catch up evening and we will return.

The restaurant was a warm haven on a very cold day. Our waitress, Elise, looked after us so well from the moment when we arrived and took a personal interest in making sure tat we had an enjoyable experience.

Terrible service. Celebration dinner for daughter’s 16th, despite asking twice, the server forgot to bring a dessert with a candle. Then barely apologised. Unprofessional.

This was the third time we have been to this restaurant recently and, as you can see from my score, the food feel a long way short of the usual standard. The portion sizes varied (by at least 40% for the same meal) and the fish and chips were over fried. So disappointed.

One of the main dishes of four was cold and the fresh dish came out as the other diners were finishing their meal - this was not taken off of the bill before being handed to us. Service was very slap dash with drinks slammed on tables in one corner rather than handed out to the individual, a long time taken for plates and glasses to be collected. The table we were sat at was directly beneath a very bright spot light which made for one guest to be particularly focused on and conversation across the table difficult.

This is the 3rd time we have recently been to the Blue Anchor. The staff were excellent in particular Chloe who served us. The food and service was excellent . I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Very good meal. All orders were served on time and were delicious. Pub was very busy but the young staff cooed well. We particularly enjoyed the hot drink and mini deserts- such a good idea. Will definitely come back

The service and overall exp was good . However , the ribeye steak was very disappointing over half left as vey grisly and fatty . As it was Father’s Day treat and his meal was disappointing for him . We did tell two waiters . Just said oh ????‍♀️

Great food, great service. The scallops starter was really good. Ambience was noisy with kids running around and an adult birthday party clearly enjoying themselves.
