Excellent
Fine dining in a beautiful country house setting. The house and grounds are delightful and provide the perfect setting for any celebration. At every point the staff are exemplary and everything served from Kitchen & Cellar was exceptional.
The food here was outstanding, I thoroughly enjoyed the crab starter, braised beef main and pannacotta desert plus the couple of extras provided between courses. The staff were friendly and professional and when I was given the wrong main course, they quickly remedied the situation with little fuss. My only complaint would be that I had booked the table for 7.45pm and we were not seated until 9pm. There was no apology or reason given for the delay and by the time we sat down to eat we were very hungry and felt we did not enjoy the wonderful food as much as we would have if we had eaten on time. Had this not happened, the overall experience would definitely have been a 5 star rather than 4. This would not put me off eating here again but next time I would be more insistent when booking to make sure we were seated on time.
Attentive staff, beautiful food, and an excellent experience. Thank you! Will definitely visit again.
Very helpful as we wanted a particular seat in the restaurant and this was arranged for us.
lovely place, excellent staff and good food
The staff were very welcoming and kind throughout our dining experience. The food was brilliantly presented and full of flavour. The chapoutier house wines were brilliant. It was also good to see a cheese trolley with clear descriptions of the cheese on the board.
Four of us went for champagne tea to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The attention and service of the staff was excellent as was the food and ambience of the hotel. We shall return in Summer when we'll be able to explore the grounds. It’s good to have yet another excellent hotel in the Midlands
Delicious food and really outstanding service
Absolutely lovely afternoon tea. Perhaps more savouries and fewer cakes, but that’s just personal preference. Overall a lovely experience.
What a beautiful Manor House in superb surroundings but I am sorry to say that our Sunday Lunch was very disappointing. My friend and her sister ordered the beef dinner and they were unable to eat it because the meat was dreadfully tough. Our treacle tart was served cold and we asked for it to be heated. The lunch was my treat and I felt very disappointed and at time rather embarrassed so not a good review I am afraid. Lisa Morrall.
Superb service, cuisine & location. Always a pleasure to visit the hotel.
Wonderful dining experience - everything from food to service was excellent. The game in particular was memorable and special thanks also to Larry for the first class service. A magical evening.
very attentive staff and very pleased not to be rushed to our table after a very long journey
We were holidaying in the area, as it coincided with my partners birthday I decided to book a surprise treat. I googled “afternoon tea” and came across Brockencote Hall and decided to book it. The booking process was simple and quick. We were made very welcome upon our arrival. Shown to our table set in a very beautiful room. We had the Champagne Afternoon Tea. An excellent choice of teas. We chose the English breakfast tea which was excellent. Lovely sandwiches, our waiter explained what was in each of them. Delicious sweet and biscuits. Our waiter was extremely helpful and pleasant. Overall, an excellent experience. We would definitely recommend.
Great food excellent service
Certainly nowhere near as good as it use to be. Poor service and the standard of the food was well below all previous visits to this restaurant. No longer value for money.
Very disappointed with service and food quality, booked table for 12:15 but did not get shown to our table until 13:00 and food not served until 13:20 and only then after complaining several times. Food was lukewarm, very small portions, very unsatisfying and unsatisfactory experience altogether.
Great afternoon tea experience. Since I’m lactose intolerant, the restaurant made sure all food was lactose free. Staff very nice and great work
Staff fantastic, food lovely and not rushed in any way. The venue is decorated to great standard and very comfortable. Really enjoyed our whole experience. My husband has not stopped mentioning the lamb, particularly the smoked mash!
All of it, excellent.
