I was looking for a pub meal to meet up with my daughter from uni. This pub is a hidden gem. Read the reviews first so remembered about registering the car. Greeted at the door, efficient service, quick to order drinks and food. Food was delicious. Lovely ambience throughout. It was pretty busy but tables were well spread out. Will definitely go back so can sit outside on the terraced areas.

It was the first time we had visited since the start of Covid. We were welcomed on arrival and were shown to a nice table in a little side area. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was enjoyable. We will certainly go back again soon

We had difficulty finding the restaurant because of road works causing delays and diversions, so we arrived late but the staff were friendly and welcoming. I have been to the Coy Carp once before (pre pandemic) but my relatives were pleased by the canal-side location and historic feel of the building. We were allocated a table in a quiet area, which facilitated conversation for the older members of our group. The food was good, well cooked with generous portions. The service was good with pleasant and attentive staff. We very much enjoyed our visit and would return again if the opportunity offered. Thank you very much for a pleasant and enjoyable experience. We all had a really great night. There was a quiz that we’ll be going to every week. The pizzas were delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Very nice experience. The team at the Coy Carp have it spot on - very fast, very friendly, and very good food - both burger and fish & chips were excellent. The place was really clean and tidy, which is always a plus. Very well done
