The food in this restaurant redeemed the poor service. We had booked and arrived on time but were told our table had to be cleaned so drink at the bar. A table for 2 is at most a 5m job surely. Not only that but the restaurant was half empty. 15m later we were shown to a table, We then waited another 15m to order. After that the service was good.

They lost my booking and the waitress accused me of not having booked...she was very disinterested. Took ages to bring our food out, when we asked for dessert (crumble) she didn't ask if we wanted custard or anything with it and just walked away so we called her back and said "does it come with custard orrr" (the menu didn't specify) and she said "yeah it's either going to be custard or ice cream"...well are you going ask us which we want then or were you going to decide for us and just bring whatever out? She honestly could not be bothered! Food was really good, the place is decorated nicely etc. but the service was terrible...that waitress who was working on 01 Feb 2022 at 7pm really needs to get her act together. She needs a rocket up her bum!

I booked The Deer Park for a Christmas Eve meal with my partner. I’m familiar with this pub chain, the food met our expectations. The pub looked absolutely lovely for the festive season. The staff deserve a massive thank you. The place was busy, every table was booked. You could see every member of staff working as a team. They made sure everything got done properly and they were so nice. Very well done.

The sunday dinner was disappointing. The beef was over cooked and chewy. The Yorkshire puddings were pleasingly plump but there was no gravy to pour inside them and very little on the plate. As a consequence it tasted very dry, we ended up asking for additional gravy and this improved it. The gravy however had a bitter aftertaste The staff were adequate but somewhat surly. All in all not a great experience, there are plenty of better sunday dinners to be had.

We were welcomed with a smile, we were shown to a comfortable table, we were served by a lovely waitress and the food and drink were great. An excellent evening.

We dine at the Deer Park quite often. This was for my sons 18th Birthday - Sammy, the waitress was excellent. Really looked after us all to make sure it was a special event. The Maitre D - (lady) didn't get her name was also excellent. Two great members of staff. The food was also very delicious.

The Deer Park has been recently refurbished. Looks great!!. We had a good table and delicious meal. Loved the mushroom starter and halloumi salad

I had the King Prawn, Chorizo and Crab (which was not in evidence ) Linguini which I have had before and enjoyed. This time on the first mouthful I had to ask for a glass of water the Chilli was so strong and it was also very sweet, an awful combination. I think what they had done this time was simply use a cheap Sweet Chilli Sauce on the Pasta and it was uneatable. I complained to the waiter who said he would tell the Chef but nothing was done and they still charged me £13-50 for it. I will not be going agaon

Had a lovely family meal at the Deer Park. Great food, attentive service, good ambiance and even the special request when I made the booking was honoured.
