About the restaurant The Drouthy Cobbler

The Drouthy Cobbler is a relaxed bar, kitchen, and venue in the heart of Elgin in Scotland's malt whisky country. We serve fresh, locally-sourced food all day, drawing from Speyside's rich larder.

Our whisky list features 150 bottles of fine malt from Scotland (and occasionally beyond). The wine we serve is mostly from small family vintners who know their land. We're proud to stock great craft beers from breweries in Speyside and The Highlands. We also rotate guest cask ales and have a permanent selection of old favourites on draught, too. The cocktail list features old favourites and new creations in equal measure.

And, to keep us going, we serve super good coffee from first thing in the morning until last thing at night. The Drouthy house roast is a smooth, lightly roasted South American blend and we always run a guest roast from varied small independent UK roasters.

Luckily for us we are surrounded by a rich Speyside larder of very fine ingredients. Our popular restaurant menu is the result of combining locally sourced produce and a fantastic kitchen team. We serve breakfast from 8am until 11.45am (weekdays) and 10am to 11.45am (weekends), lunches until 2.30pm (weekdays) and 4pm (weekends) and evening meals between 5.30pm and 9.30pm. A tasty bar snack selection is available all afternoon and into the evening.

Unfortunately our order, though taken promptly got lost on its way to the kitchen. After waiting about 35 minutes we were told it had just gone to the kitchen and would be another 20 minutes or so. We were hungry but we’re brought olives to keep us going. The food was very good when it did arrive and we were given the olives free and 20% off the bill. Staff were friendly and very apologetic. We would go back.
