7/10Food a little over priced for what we ordered. Fish is still Haddock and not as nice as the cod we used to get from the Drum.

9/10I took friends there that are not from this area. I had been telling them about The Drum for ages, and they were really pleased with the food, service, and the place. I always say that it is often your choice from the menu that decides your opinion of a restaurant, we all chose different meals and were all happy with our choices, perhaps the gammon was not the right choice for me, hence 4* rather than 5, but I have eaten there may times, and I am always happy to go back.

10/10First time visit to cvelebrate the renewing of our vows 21 years ago (married 48 years) Samatha was our waitress and she looked after uus extremely well/ Polie and friendly. Excellent quality food. Great experience there. Lovely setting for the Pub In Cockington Village.> Would we go there again. Most certainly. We highly rate this place.

10/10Lovely local restaurant ideal for Xmas do's. A very pleasant experience with excellent foot. Xmas decs were gorgeous. Will definitely eat there again, was our 1st time. Thank you so much for being so accommodating.

10/10Booked The Drum Inn as we were going to Cockington for the day. Despite being extremely busy the staff never lost their smiles nor sense of humour. The food was excellent despite the kitchen being understaffed on the day. We would return

9/10Friendly staff right from the start. Gave good info. re menu. Took drinks order efficiently and food order when returned with drinks.. Food arrived quickly,well presented, very tasty. Returned for desert choices, which arrived shortly after. All good.

4/10Most of the carvery was unavailable when we arrived & there was little choice on the menu. When the food arrived (after quite a wait) the veg was only tepid in fact my brocoli was cold. My pie was dreadfully. On taking g the crust off you could see that it gad been microwaved to death as the sauce/gravy had completely dried up & the chicken was as tough as old boots & I couldn't eat it. I had to call someone over as nobody came to do a check back on the food (I wonder why??) & sent my meal back. They did offer me an alternative but as there was very little on the menu I just asked for a portion of chips which ended up being a handful in a small tub. I ate those & we left. The waitress did apologise & I wasn't charged for my meal or the chips. Very disappointing so won't be returning.

5.5/10We chose The Drum for a change for my birthday. The surroundings are pleasant. The staff were attentive but the food was of poor quality. My husband had steak that was hard to cut and impossible to chew. I had the beef bourguignon. The sauce was congealed and the dumpling was stodgy. This was either from frozen or made the day before. The coffee tasted burnt. This was by far the worst meal we have had in a long time. We were not charged for my husband’s steak which we appreciated. Unfortunately we will not be returning again.

7/10As it was Valentine’s evening I was expecting some special decor on the table but it might well have been any other evening of the year. The only indication was a Valentine’s menu but we didn’t know in advance that we couldn’t choose from the standard menu. However we were offered the standard menu after we objected. The envisaged romantic evening was spoilt by this. If there is a special menu, guests should be offered the standard menu alongside. Not everyone is able to eat the three courses or indeed afford the special menu.

9/10Really lovely clean cosy pub.Good menu ,prices little high. Would have preferred to be in a no children area though as I couldn’t hear what my friends were saying.I really can’t see the point of bringing babies or unruly toddlers into restaurants ..thoughtless.

3.5/10Terrible roast. Bland, and the veg appeared to be cooked frozen, Yorkshire puddings the same and veg not as described on the menu (there is no way the potatoes had been cooked in beef dripping. I also found it odd to have a little Mediterranean veg on the side (although that had the most taste of all of the dinner). Service was ok, food terrible. So won’t be going back or recommending.

5.5/10The beef in the beef bourguignon was very tough and gristly, the carrot was a bit to Al dente. The meal was a bit dry and could have had some more gravy. The service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect.

10/10Excellent location - which in itself is worth a visit. The Inn is also superb with beautiful dining rooms and a great menu Phoebe, our waitress, was very helpfula and informative Food was excellent

4/10The outside and the grounds are very cute! But the inside is disappointing and doesn’t fit with the surroundings. Wished it was all oldy woldy like the rest of the village! The food was TERRIBLE. However, everyone was lovely.
