Lovely and typical hotel setting, went there for breakfast and food, atmosphere, service were great but definitely not worth the bill! Overpriced for a breakfast, paid £35 for a yogurt and granola and paid £45 for an omelette !!

We arrived on time at 17:45 & told all staff that we were going to a play, at 19:30. The service was slow, abominable & totally unacceptable, resulting in us having to cancel desert, as we had to go. We told the staff this & told them that we weren't paying the service charge. The restaurant wasn't overly busy at the time [as it only opened at 17:30], so it's difficult to pinpoint why service was so slow & completely sub standard.

It took FOREVER for my food to come out. There were only 6 tables occupied and I was there for 2 hours. My food was dry and we were given food we did not order. The service was ridiculous- people just walked around and talked and did not do anything. 2 hours of my life i won’t get back.

We enjoyed our meal last night. Tried the cured smoked salmon, and steaks for the main. All very good, the steaks were cooked perfectly, I tried the variety of sea salts on the meat

It was very quiet until the singer introduced tea room next door started, 30 mins into my reservation. The service was LOVELY. My thoughts for wine were met with multiple options and I fell in love with the recommendation provided. All plates were divine. My entrée was not as my personal expectation foretold, but it didn't stop me from cleaning my plate.
