Sydney Restaurant Group Executive Chef and Co-Owner, Davide originally comes from Veneto, Italy. Descending from three generations of bakers, Davide grew up around cooking and has followed his passion, cooking in Michelin starred restaurants and five star hotels around the globe. Davide joined the Aqua Dining team in 2014 and in 2016 became a Co-Owner of the harbourside restaurant. In 2019, Davide became a founding co-owner of The Fenwick Balmain.

    My partner and I celebrated her birthday with a lunch upstairs at Fenwicks on Sunday. Preferring a lighter meal , we chose a main each and shared a dessert. She is Italian background and really enjoyed her gnocchi main . I chose the lamb neck dish, which had a great sauce accompanying it but was overcooked to my liking. The frangipani tart with mango and coconut was a superb finish - especially with the chocolate little "happy birthday" added :) . The service and harbour views were excellent.

    Terrible. We arrived at 7.00pm for dinner and were advised at 7.20pm that the signature lamb dish was unavailable. This was unacceptable because this was the primary reason that we had booked for dinner. What made things worse was there was no apology or empathy from the staff. The croquettes were over cooked, we ordered a bottle of wine and didn’t arrange and we had to follow-up the staff, the sirloin was tough and fatty and we had to keep waving the staff to top up our wine and water glasses. When we arrived we requested a table closer to the window however were advised that the better tables were “booked” however no other patrons arrived for the 3 vacant tables. The large window was open and the room was extremely cold and it was only when other guests asked for the windows to be closed. We appreciate that staffing resources are difficult however we would expect that a manager would have some oversight to support and direct the inexperienced staff. The views of the harbour, city and bridge at night were fantastic which saved the night from a completely terrible experience.

    The food was ok, but the service was disappointing. We had a long wait between our entrees and mains, were told twice that the food was coming, only to wait another 15 minutes before the food actually came (total 45 minutes wait between the courses)(including our 5yo son’s kids fish and chips, which he waited a whole hour for, given it came with the mains and not at the beginning of the meal). We were not informed that the kids meal would come with the mains, otherwise we would have requested it be served with the entrees, as many other restaurants we go to would always have the kids meal served at the beginning. A very disappointing experience.

    Perfect location - right at the ferry wharf and the best view of the Harbour Bridge. Service was impeccable - Matt treated us like we were VIP's. We visited for my husband's birthday and they presented him with a Happy Birthday dessert. Would definitely recommend, whether for a special occasion or just a quick meal.

    We arrived late but were treated very very well. We still got the best table by the window-and we didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was all superb, and when we had to give up our table, the very friendly Luca suggested we take a table outside to enjoy the review while we had our coffee/dessert. To top it off they remembered it was our wedding anniversary-and there was a little message ‘on’ it that was nice. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family. And-we will be back!

    I didn't get the experience that I was expected. The food was all right, the night was noisy because of the party upstairs. Service was good, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The star of the night was the sorbet!

    The food was excellent my wife had the prawns and I had the pasta with a very generous serve of truffles. What stood out though was the exceptional service and knowledge of Margaux! Thank you!

    The service and location was great. we offered a table in looking out at the magnificent harbour view. The food was above average, but not exceptionally good. There was a strong and cold wind. So the food was getting cold and less taste.

    The food and service were outstanding. Unfortunately there was a strong and cold wind, so it was not possible to sit outdoors and there was very little space between tables. It was still a most pleasant meal, and we will happily go again.
