Had an enjoyable evening the meal was cooked well and of a good quality and the ambience was also good. The Firecrest was a first, which I would add was lovely to visit.

Everything lovely with friendly staff and good service. I had a tasty caesar salad with garkic bread which came with the option of chicken for a late lunch and felt it was a little small for a main course, otherwise would have given it 5 stars.

I took a client here she is 86 and doesn’t go out to eat often , the food was delicious service was fantastic, we sat by the fire and was so cosy . This restaurant also has a slope for easy wheelchair and pram access so is very user friendly if this applies to you.

We have eaten here many times as we love the atmosphere and generally the food has always been excellent. This evening the service was good but the food was disappointing. I had the mushrooms to start with which were overcooked followed by fishcakes which were small, flat and very watery. Sadly I was very disappointed this time.

Service was excellent even though the restaurant was very busy. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. A very good menu and when the food came it was piping hot and beautifully presented.

We were sitting at the captains table as we had a puppy wich was fine the table wasn’t all that clean and there were chips on the floor wich my puppy enjoyed It was really busy and there seemed a shortage of staff we wernt in a hurry wich was good The staff were friendly and apologetic as it was along time in between courses and I had to ask them a couple of times for the coffee !! The food was good and we all enjoyed our time at the firecrest, I would go again

Have been to this restaurant numerous times which says it all. Attractive layout and always good service and food. I and my partner were there last night and my only disappointment last night was that I ordered cheesecake for my pudding and the helping was rather meagre. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

Lovely setting, very quiet inside, but it was an extremely hot day, so most customers were sat outside. The staff were very attentive and prompt with our food and drink orders, both of which arrived in good time. All three of our party ordered different items off the large choices on the menu, all of which looked and tasted superb. The fish and chips especially, a huge piece of fish with delicious triple cooked chips. A faultless visit.

We walked in and must of stood at the bar for at least 5mins before anyone spoke to us until the bar man mumbled be with you in a minute! The lady who i imagine is the manager was just going through the motions and not that friendly and quite brash ! food took a long time and was ok ! Libby the waitress was good

As a fairly frequent visitor in earlier days I was delighted to find that the service and the quality of the food in an imaginative menu is well up to the standard I had come to expect. So glad that you are again open for business.
