10/10Our party of three arrived early for our booking but were able to be accommodated immediately. Our hostess was very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about the menu. We were in no way rushed to decide or choose and alternatives were clearly presented to us, Our drinks order was taken quickly and delivered in under four minutes. Starters and main dishes were ordered and promptly delivered, the only noticeable point was that one of the sides hade been left in the kitchen, but was brought to us once we had pointed this out to the hostess. We had the luxury of remaining for a while after eating to enjoy a few more pints. All in all a great wee place and excellent prices too! Highly recommended and when possible will defo be back.

10/10We arrived about 10 mins late after getting caught up with football traffic, the staff showed us to our table and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered 3 sunday dinners each one was different and a steak and ale pie , the vegetables came on a side plate for each of us and we had a side order of cauliflower cheese ( which could have fed us all ......yum ) we couldn’t finish our meal and we were given a doggy bag to take home . My two cavaliers had left overs and thoroughly enjoyed their tea , made up from our left overs except for the cauliflower cheese . I would highly recommend going here

9/10For starters, I had the salt and pepper calamari which was nice although I was expecting the Chinese salt and pepper taste but it literally was salt and pepper! My daughter rated her chicken burger “a solid 9/10” ! I had chicken pancetta pie which unfortunately was average. It was pretty bland and hardly any pancetta in it. Overall, the food was good but I will probably avoid that pie next time.

10/10This was our 53rd wedding anniversary so we went to the Honey Bee for lunch. We were greeted very nicely & offered a variety of tables. Once we were seated, the waitress asked if we would like some drinks whilst we looked at the menu. We thought the menu was comprehensive, with lots of food choices that we would enjoy. The drinks arrived promptly, & soon after the food arrived. It was piping hot & looked really appetising & plentiful. I really enjoyed the Gammon steak with 2 fried eggs & chips. The portion of gammon was large, tender, & cooked to perfection. My wife was also impressed with the Lasagna & salad which also came with a generous portion of bread, so much that I took some to dip in my eggs! We managed to find room for a dessert & hot drink combination which we thought was a very good idea. The waitress enquired on a couple of occasions if everything was ok & also asked if we need any condiments. All in all it was a lovely lunch that has made our anniversary special. 4.5/10I had not been to the Honey bee for a long time so was keen to sample the experience yesterday. There were 3 of us all wearing hearing aids and we found it very difficult to carry on our conversation comfortably. I had asked for a window seat but we were placed behind a wall in the middle of the restaurant and with other people nearby it was claustrophic. in retrospect, I should have mentioned the hearing aid problem and requested a quiet table. All in all for us, a rather disappointing experience.

10/10Due to the pandemic we have not met our friends for almost 2 years - although we spoke occasionally over the phone - it certainly isn’t the same as meeting face to face. We wanted somewhere welcoming, with a great reputation for good food, great service & pleasant happy staff. We weren’t disappointed and are sure to return - hopefully soon!
