Nice open fires. Great for a pint and a park. Huge garden. It's a pub that does food, not a restaurant. Food and menu well above average for pub grub. The first two wines we tried to order were out of stock. Service isn't fully waited , had to get water, wine list, bill and someone to take payment by visiting the staff table at the end of the bar by the welcome point. Bill was rectified swiftly.

First visit to here with a disabled friend, found the staff to be polite and kind. Sue your waiteres was very helpful and a credit to your restaurant. Fish batter was a little thick but fish was tasty. Reasonable portion size for me. Not much choice if your a vege. Price slightly high but not overpriced.

This was our first.time staying in Cookham and the first time we ate at the Kings Arms. The food was very good and the staff excellent. The dining area was full of customers which really tells us what people think of the place.

I am a regular at the Kings Arms and was treated to lunch by a dear friend. We both had the roasts of beef and chicken with a side of cauliflower cheese. Fabulous yorkshires and perfectly cooked beef and vegetables. Thanks to Cormack, Lewis and the team for looking after us so well. See you again soon.

The staff were fine, but they didn't tell us what was unavailable when they gave us the menu, or tell us what the specials were. Replacements were disappointing and there was no dessert of our choice left. Felt a bit unimportant as a customer really

I am sure this will improve but the young serving staff were struggling and there was confusion as to who was serving our table but they were very polite and apologetic. I felt my Starter of smoked salmon and king prawn was not good value for money.

Good food. Good vegan selection. Service was slow but luckily we weren't in a hurry or desperately hungry. Limited ale selection which always used to be made up of local brews.

Our first visit and we were delighted with the place. We went for dinner and there was a great choice of food & wine (we sampled both and were very impressed). Really felt they were upholding all of the covid rules so felt comfortable and safe. We plan on returning soon!

Food was good quality, as always, however the service was awful. I'm not sure if the two waitresses were new. If so they need to be much better trained. They forgot drinks three times, long wait for food (they blamed the kitchen for everything) & then had to wait again for cutlery. Plates not cleared. Long waits between courses. We were there for 3 hours ! Slightly surly attitudes - nothing their fault. Was it my fault perhaps ? Other diners seemed to have same (or worse) experience. The rest of the restaurant was very quiet, so I can't think they were rushed off their feet. For the first time ever we didn't leave a tip after being invited to do so. Need to do a lot better.

The service was good and the manager was very helpful when we complained but the food was disappointing. My husband's roast beef was fatty and full of gristle. The Yorkshire pudding was cold, the roast potatoes not crispy and the stuffing was burnt. The manager offered us complementary desserts and coffee and the desserts were good. I'm afraid we won't visit again.
