The Lamb at Longdown

As we were in Tier 2 conditions, the staff handled that and treated us really well. We felt very welcome and there were three other couples dining. The food was excellent and the waitress was lovely. It was a really nice experience throughout!

The food here is really outstanding, best in the Exeter area from my point of view, every dish was beautifully presented, and full of exciting flavours .. well done! Well worth a drive out of the city!

The food was absolutely excellent and of such a high quality that I really can’t believe we have only just found out about The Lamb. What incredible chefs! The service and atmosphere were both great and we will most certainly be back.

We knew that this resturant had good reviews and we can only add to this view. The chef is truly talented , the mushroom risotto starter was the best I have ever tasted. All of us were impressed with our food & the service was exceptional. We are coming back !

With the present Covid challenges, we were really happy with this pub, the food and service was excellent. They were totally transparent upfront with a slightly restricted menu, but we thought this didn’t have a negative impact at all. In fact the menu choice was really good and didn’t appear restricted to us, there was plenty of choice and the quality of the fish excellent. My husband & I both had the salmon and leek special, and my children had the haddock & chips, all delicious. The lovely bread & homemade butter was a great treat to start the meal, much better than the standard bread & butter you usually find elsewhere. The tables were really well spaced out and the staff very friendly and provided a warm welcome and efficient service. We would really recommend you try this pub and support local businesses in this tricky time.
