10/10The steak was delicious and the staff were great, there was a mix up with my order, fixed and compensated. The only slight fault is that there was a tv on, no sound but it distracted from the sense of the place.

10/10Accidentally walked in through the restaurant entrance before the dining area was open, staff treated us exactly the same as if they were open-set us up with a tab straight away, made us feel super welcome. We were taken to our seats the minute they opened and after we'd ordered, the food was out within 15 minutes. The food was amazing, with both of us agreeing they were the beat steaks we'd ever had and their Creme Broulee was lovely. Service was top tier - we will absolutely be coming back here!

10/10When I come to Adelaide on work trips, I try to make sure I book in to get a fantastic steak. If they added milkshakes to the menu I would bump them to 11.

9/10Beautifully cooked, good quality steak. Good wine list. Didn’t realise they had a beer garden out the back…great for pre-dinner drink.

8.5/10Great service team. Let down by the kitchen communication between kitchen and wait staff poor 25 minutes into service was advised no oysters Appreciate busy but kitchen service was ordinary How do you not have enough oysters available and let us know 25 minutes later sorry not available Poor. Wait staff where great and food that arrived was great

7.5/10A good restaurant tucked away in Victoria Street away from the Hindley Street mayhem. Food was good, steak delicious. Music too loud to be able to have a conversation. They do mocktails which is great but it would be good to see some NA beer, wine and spirits on the menu.

10/10Last time we went to the little hunter, which was a couple of years ago, it was disappointing. This time the service and food were amazing! As a vegetarian the menu was limited but the eggplant meal was delicious. We’ll definitely go there again!

5/10Despite having pictures showing how the meat will be cooked, ours came out very over done. When we questioned it the lovely staff member took it back to ask the chef....she returned with "In the chefs opinion its cooked perfectly" !?!?

5.5/10We were happy with the food & wines. The restaurant was far too noisy, so much so we could barely have a conversation at our table, mainly due to large groups of diners. Service was slow, after ordering it took 20 minutes for our drink order to come & 50 minutes for our food to arrive.

7/10We have been trying a lot of steak lately at different places; Little Hunter made bold claims about being the best around. Steak was pub quality, it wasn't bad, it just wasnt great. I had a rump which was very thin, so am not surprised they didnt cook to medium rare; it was medium at best. Decent vibe, and food was ok, but if you want a good steak there are much better options around.

5.5/10The steak was okay, I little over done. Chips were cheap ‘yellow’ chips. They need some work on the blue cheese sauce it’s was more like double cream sauce - could not taste the blue cheese. Wine selection was great - good varieties and good range of price.

5/10Firstly let me say the waitresses were lovely! How ever all the food just tasted like char! No flavour at all. And for the cost you'd think they could throw on a little salad or veg to break up band chips and car steak only on plate! They waiting til everyone got their meals to tell me they can't do my gnocci meal, do chose kebabs which they said they'd do straight away and take about 8mins... well everyone else finished there's, took about 40 more mins for mine to come out! There were only 3 other tables there too, hate to see it busy.

Satisfying your hunter hunger....
Situated in but away from the concrete jungle CBD of Adelaide is The Little Hunter, a steak and ale bar surrounded by a beer garden and homely interiors. The space is warm with brick textured walls and wooden floors, where wine barrels stand. The menu is lavished with grilled meats, delicious sides and classic desserts. It's a place to catch up with friends or eat with family. The drink list is outstanding, featuring beers, wine and cocktails. You will find a drink and dish to match your taste.
Best dish: Slow roasted Angus beef ribs.
