The service was really good and a polite approach to our requests along with the meals we had that were excellent. Each time we have been to the little owl we have enjoyed our meals and would advise anyone to try it well done/ merry xmas

Waited half and hour to have our food order taken, had to ask to order drinks, waited over an hour from arrival for food to arrive. We had roast dinners, turkey was bone dry, pork was tough and dry, beef was ok. Slow service and average at best food. Very disappointed.

Great place, this is the 5th time we have eaten here. It is local and of really good quality food, but also the service and atmosphere is really genuine, no one is trying to be nice, they are all naturally good service providers and nice, nice is a very small word but it is vitally important that you get the feeling people are happy to work there and are happy to serve you. The food is well presented on the plate and we never wait long for the meal to arrive.

The restaurant has a welcoming feel, lovely live fire and nice layout. Staff friendly and professional. Food good. I like the venue as it’s on our doorstep too.

What a shame. Lovely venue, real ambience, nice welcome. The one starter we had was nice. Then waited approximately an hour for mains. Started to worry as had a show to get to and other tables who’d arrived after us had their meals. Think ours had been left on the hot plate for a fair while. All dried out with roasted carrots which were almost raw. Although we told our server we didn’t have time for an alternative meal at this late stage. Other meals coming out looked so nice I can’t believe the chef was happy to send out our food which looked awful. Front of house staff very apologetic and gave a refund, for which we were very grateful. Just a shame as I think generally this looks like a really nice place

Was a little dubious about being indoors but it was fine staff were very friendly and and respected our space the tables were well spaced and it felt safe to be in there. Was good to catch up with friend I haven't seen for many months. Thank you.
