Despite me booking online, and having an email and text confirmation along with me calling them 3 times and being promised a call back they wasn't expecting us for afternoon tea. Rather than send us aaway as we had travelled a fair distance they did their best to accommodate us. For what we recieved it was OK on taste but for value and service it was appalling.

Staff were attentive, the selection was good, However it was prepared in advance, the scones which were warm to touch, but cold in the middle, everything was fridge cold upon service, this meant spreading the cream etc on the scones awkward. The jam was very sweet. We would go again, as overall it was a pleasant experience.

Lovely food and very helpful waitress but they were not expecting us. We were told this booking service had not forwarded the information. The plus side was that everything was freshly made as they had no other afternoon tea bookings.
