Friendly and professional staff, small seasonal menu but there should be something for everyone. They have a huge focus on local products, which in an area like this, is an excellent choice. The food itself was very good with the highlight for me being the Thai style duck legs. Spicy but just what I wanted. Will be back.
First time we've visited the Locavore and we had a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous and delicious without being pretentious. Quite possibly the best vegetarian gnocchi (with chargrilled vege, olives and tomato) I've ever had and the Tiramisu did not disappoint. Lovely, friendly relaxed service and a glowing pot belly. Couldn't ask for more on a rainy winter night! Thanks again.
The food was beautiful, the atmosphere perfect. We could all enjoy our evening and feel like we were the only ones there. The service was perfect. Definitely going back again.. and soon.. thank you
The Locavore at Stirling was fabulous, the staff were attentive without being over bearing, the food was great - made special efforts with my dietary requirements & the atmosphere on a cold, wet evening was warm (thanks to a roaring fire) & very inviting. Really enjoyed it & the banter of the husband & wife owners was welcoming & fun. Great job to everyone ????
Great selection of menu items. Much bigger than anticipated - very happy with prices and quality. Will be returning soon thanks.
Lovely food and friendly service
A warm and welcoming ,family run gem with food to match prepared by the very widely experienced chef/patriarc. Thoughtful wine selection but also accepting BYO wine .
Atmosphere was nice and the staff were eager to cater to our requests. Entree’s were nice, gnocchi and the burgers were great, the steak unfortunately was chewy, the panna cotta was amazing!
Very good. Great food. Good menu choice. Great staff. ,....., .......................................................................
Great location for a winters day, the log fire kept the room warm, the food was perfect winter grub. Well cooked , well presented and fresh. Happy to return!
Fabulous food and drink, friendly and attentive staff. Had a lovely night for first restaurant back after Covid lockdown. We are so lucky to live I South Australia.
The dishes we chose were faultless and delicious.
A lovely place for a special lunch or dinner. Casual and relaxed, set in the heart of Stirling, you can watch the world pass by whilst sipping from a range of local wines and eating beautifully prepared food made from locally sourced ingredients.
We chose mainly from the tapas menu and the food was great - the arancini balls were particularly good. We have several desserts and found them to be good, but nothing outstanding. We saw some other tables order from the main menu and their food looked great - we will be back to sample more. Service was polite, but a little slow - there appeared to be only one wait staff on duty.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Great selection of dishes and drinks. Warm, witty and welcoming service - thanks you - we will visit again.
Lovely food and service.
The food was amazing! Great selection of drinks. Definitely have dessert, incredible!

Such a beautiful dining experience on all levels. Every single dish was delicious. There appeared to be so much love & passion in what this restaurant does!
Tapas and burgers were really good.

Who needs a cellar door? Travelling to Stirling is such a delight in itself that the town’s eating houses get a head start on their city counterparts. Lovacore is the tourist’s delight – the number of awards won in their short stint in the lush town is too many to count, and they proudly wear the badge for having more Adelaide Hills’ wines exclusively on their list than anywhere in the world. A favourite for slick cocktail parties or sit down functions, the menu is broad and offers a beautiful breakfast option, tapas and nibbles. They’re all about the 100-mile rule, ensuring that all produce is local, and as such it is always amazing to go and see what their 10 Daily Specials have morphed into from week to week. Some of their food is simply too good to make an easy choice – think pulled confit duck gnocchi, Harris smoked trout salad and their delicious homemade fishcakes. Allow a little longer at this place to have a couple of extra dishes, you won’t regret it. Best Dish: regional tasting plate
