9.5/10The table seated all 8 of us for our meal after getting married. It was in a lovely intimate area of the pub, windows open giving a lovely breeze on a hot day, views of the river. The food and service were excellent. Minor point, as the staff were actually lovely, but it would have been nice if they had poured the wine for us. Apart from that everything was fabulous 😊

6.5/10Waitress good Food disappointing…. Chateaubriand over cooked ! Too small!!! I only ae 2 pieces my son 4 but about 2 inch width half inch thick! Should NOT HAVE BEEN CUT!!! Garnish on platter woeful! Not enough mushrooms 2 shallots!!! THAT WAS IT! No roasted tomatoes veg !!!!!! Small pot of chips! Disappointing for £59!!! Won’t have that again! POOR!!!! SAD AS YOUR STEAKS BETTER & Roadt beef Sunday lunch ! Spent a lot of money & didn’t enjoy my dinner

10/10Megan was our server & was very pleasant and polite: she was very attentive to our needs. Greg & Georgia were the chefs and the food was absolutely delicious. The chairs were comfortable and the restaurant is lovely &airy.

8/10Comfortable restaurant with well spaced out tables. The lighting at out table was very poor and we struggled to read the menu which was in very small print.

10/10Great ambience, well laid out tables offering privacy to hold a conversation. Good choice on the menu. All courses were delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning.

10/10We always have good food and great service at The Midland. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a lovely ambiance in the pub. Very nice decor and surroundings. The food was served very well cooked and good quality

9.5/10My elderly mother, a friend and I had a wedding anniversary lunch at The Midland today ( Monday) and had a really nice time. The setting by the river Goyt is charming. Our food ( including Salmon and Pork plus scallops) was well presented and tasty. The service was prompt and the atmosphere relaxed. We were not hurried away after our meal and stayed chatting. I would definitely book again.

7.5/10The staff were lovely but we ordered 2 fish and chips and I noticed that my friend didn’t eat her fish . The salmon was lovely and pizza good . I had fish and I thought it was ok but chips were disappointing

9.5/10Great service and lovely meals. We'll presented with decent portion sizes and good quality ingredients. All needs catered for. Although we ate inside, the outdoor terrace is in a lovely location next to the river.

9.8/10Wonderful, friendly and efficient service. Saw to the toddlers immediately before they worked their chaos! Lovely food, generous helpings but not overfacing. Excellent menu.
