10/10I am local and have always loved this place. I’m afraid we locals still refer to it as "The Foaming Jug". There is a lovely "olde worlde’ ambience about the place and the staff always so friendly and "nice". Needless to say the food is excellent.

7/10Ordered the homemade pie of the day which had very little filling which had more carrots in than steak with very little gravy. Service and staff were excellent and had remided my complaint as expected. I would give them a second chance.

7.5/10Called in at lunch time after dog walking and very limited choice for a light bite. Resorted to a starter of pâté which was very nice but toast was limited and had hardly seen the inside of the toaster.

5.5/10This visit was the worst experience that I have had at this location which one of my favourites usually. The service was charming, but did not compensate for the strangest tasting prawn cocktail, a tough gammon steak and very dry lamb kebabs. The drinks were fine.
