I mean it's OK: despite quite explicit instructions on booking (dog in tow) they booked us in to the restaurant and had no quiet couch table - even though booked ages ago. They got the food order wrong and seemed a bit understaffed although, I loved the grub and booze. Chicken rotisserie was a delight - honestly... Try it.

I received a text in the morning to ask that if we were running late could we phone them so I tried to do exactly that. Ttied twice but both times no reply so I left a voicemail explaining we'd be 1/2 hour late. When we arrived it was obvious they'd not lidtened to voicemail and given our table away. We were asked to wait at the bar, eventually asked to take a table but then were left for easily 20 minutes trying to catch the eye of a waiter. Bit disappointing

My main course was incorrect the first time, when I got what I had ordered, pan fried king prawns (double portion as wanted as main) the prawns were not pan fried and were the size of a peanut. I am a cook, so know what I am talking about. There seemed to be 2 managers, a man who had the cheek to argue with me and an under manager, a woman, who handled the situation very well and with charm.

We have visited this restaurant for quite a few years with the exception of the pandemic rules i.e. March 2020 to July 2021 and are so delighted to go there again.The food and drinks are of the same high standard we have always received and we recommend anyone to visit the restaurant and pub.

I've been visiting The Bull and Bush for over 50 years and pleased the upgrading of the building hasn't detracted from the original. but disappointed at losing the original song title sign that was displayed outside, of which people found fascinating and was much photographed! I recommend to others, and find the staff polite and efficient. Keep it up!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch! The food was great, the service was amazing. It was my mother in law’s birthday, the member of staff, they sang a birthday song for her when they serve her dessert and everybody else from the next tables also joined the song. It made her very special. Thank you. It was a great lunch and great experience.

Such great service... guests enjoyed the food and the cocktails. So easy to book- they were also able to cater to my vegan and vegetarian friends. Most people had Sunday roast... highly recommend it! We had a party of 12, and the sunken bay table area was perfect. Cocktails were also really good :) overall had an amazing time!

Very pleasant dining room. Not noisy. Excellent efficient waitress. Food very good on the whole. Enjoyed the Fillet Beef Salad and the Duck Pate Starter. Mushrooms in batter - too large a portion and a bit greasy.
