The Old House

Took my girlfriend for Chinese food for the first time and I thought I should choose the best one in town. And it did not disappoint. It had a great atmosphere that makes me homesick, while me and my gf had a great time enjoying the ambience and the food. As a native Beijinger, I believe this is the best Peking duck I've tried outside China. Surprised to see so many local people there. This is the place to have the most authentic Chinese food from China.

The Old House's reputation convinced us to try this special restaurant. We enjoyed the setting and beauty of the restaurant, were well greeted and cared for during our languorous lunch. Perfect way to spend the afternoon. Most menu items were unfamiliar to us so we made some bad decisions (rabbit and the scallops) and some wonderful choices (Shai Mai, gyozos, wontons, pancakes).

Seeing the reviews we where expecting more, especially looking at the pictures provided. The food was ok, but again the ratings didn’t reflect the quality. Maybe we are just spoiled or ordered the wrong things.. the electronic ordering is also not great, dumplings arriving at same time as main course and wine after we had started eating.. in all ok but not better..

It's the third time at this restaurant so far the best Chinese restaurant in Lisbon , it's not cheap but it's premium meals you will find there and you can have a nice hike near the taje

Always has been good although this time, the prawn dumpling wasn't warm enough when served. All the other dishes were good! It was fairly quiet on a Saturday lunch. We had the indoor dining room to ourselves.

My favourite Chinese Restaurant in Lisbon. I have been a regular visitor to China for the last thirty years and this restaurant offers the most authentic Chinese Food you will find in Lisbon. We always enjoy our visits to The Old House.
