As usual the service and food were very good except that the pork crackling was more like a dog chew and not crackly at all. Our waitress was very pleasant and polite. WE had enough time to chatter but not long to wait between courses.

Once again The Old Stables did not disappoint. We have now dined there five or six times and it has and still is a great plqce to meet up and eat. We enjoyed ot so much we have already booked to go again next month.

This was the third time my friend and I had eaten at the Old Stables and it will not be the last. Nice choice of food served hot and fresh. Lovely open fire if you feel the cold.

I’ve seen the Old Stables on the way to Chichester & always liked the look of it so decided to take a friend for her birthday Lovely atmosphere & friendly person who saw us to our table & waited on us . Chris was very attentive & checked intermittently throughout the dinner if anything was needed . Great food I would definitely recommend

The three of us very much enjoyed our lunch. We were impressed with our waitress who asked if there were any specific dietary requirements that the chef needed to know. She was attentive without being 'too much'. I have already recommended it to 2 separate people.

It was a lovely evening and great food. The only thing was we used the Fork app and I had an email confirming our reservation also, an email to confirm we were going the day before, and on the day which I answered and when we arrived there was no booking. Luckily I showed them my emails and they fitted us in., so you might want to phone the restaurant too, just to make sure as this could have been awful, especially as it was my birthday meal.

We arrived just after 5.30 for a 6.00 booking and the place was quite empty. The staff made us feel very welcome and the service was first class. The meal exceeded our expectations, and the choice of drinks was more than sufficient. Chain pubs can sometimes be a bit of a let-down, but The Old Stables was clean, well maintained and very accessible. Lots of parking and nothing to detract from our enjoyment.

I was looking forward to the Sunday roast. I was shown to a table in the darkest part of the restaurant. My order was taken quickly by a lovely waitress and delivered within minutes. Downhill from there - roast potatoes had been cooked for hours - hard outside and awful inside! Parsnips and carrots overcooked and hard. Meat ok, plenty of gravy. Will certainly not recommend or eat here again. Expensive for a disappointing meal!

Food very disappointing for the price. Only 2 main course choices for gluten free and no deserts except ice cream which I felt was exorbitant£5-50 for 3 tiny scoops of average quality ice cream. I had super salad ,nothing super about it only 2 small cubes of mango, tiny pieces of asparagus, couple of broad beans on a mound of watercress and leaves, chicken was over cooked!!! Other meals in our party, lamb was tough, lasagne salty, schnitzl hunters chicken average, severe lack of vegetables too. All in all, only company and love on our table made it enjoyable. Don't think we'll be back.

The restaurant was close to our accommodation. Jordan our waitress was very efficient and friendly. Food was served quickly and staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent food and service. Not cheap but still felt value for money. Guys on door were a welcome sight after the drunks at the racetrack. Only downside was the the temperature in the pub.

Pork belly seemed to have too much fat and not enough meat for my son-in-law. My chicken and mushroom pie was good, could have done with more mushrooms, other than that, Lamb rump, home burger and my Granddaughter's sausage beans and chips, great!

Nice restaurant, clean & well spaced out. Food was good but there were only 3 veggie options & the super salad wasn’t available so that reduced it further. Could do with more choices please. Service was efficient & friendly. Would go back.

The menu was fine . I had chicken wrap and it was a bit dry, would have been nice to serve oroffer some dressing also the accompanying salad consisted of 2 wilted lettuce leaves and a minuscule portion of coleslaw, partner had beef wrap but again salad accompanying was almost non existent.
