2.5/10Limited menu on offer. Not informed of this at time of booking. No prices provided at time of choosing. Lettuce with one starter was limp and brown at edges. Mint & cucumber yoghurt with other starter was warm. No cream sauce with the chicken supreme.

6/10The food was greasy and bacon dry. Coffee really strong and not warm would like better selection had to ask for butter and felt it let the whole experience down as everything else was perfect

3/10We had breakfast there. There were no croissants/ pasteries left at 9am. The fresh food / fruit etc was also v sparce. There was only one member of staff. The cereal bowls had a dirty rim around them which looked like a soup stain. Not impressed at all.

2/10Disappointing buffet style breakfast either over held or improperly cooked. Lack of organisation. No guidance from FoH staff especially disappointing it being a first visit. Far better service from budget hotels than experienced here. Extremely glad we didn’t book dinner last night. A pretentious menu in an outdated setting was off putting.

5/10Very mixed experience over a 2 night stay. Staff were very friendly but totally out of their depth. Chaotic service, missed orders and unacceptable wait between courses. All around us diners were complaining and not a manager to be seen leaving the young inexperienced staff to fend for themselves. For a Hilton hotel the service was shocking.

4/10On our first night we ate in the restaurant. Our food was mixed. The chicken schnitzel and the pumpkin tortellini were nice but the batter on the haddock was chewy. The pepper in the pepper pots were stuck to the side of the pots so no pepper could be dispensed. We pointed this out but the following day the pepper pots were in the same state. The clementine tart tasted nice but the morello cherry flan was dried and cracked and completely tasteless. We pointed this out but no offer of recompense or replacement was offered. We also ate in the bar on another evening as we couldn’t find any available restaurants locally. The Sri Lankan chicken curry was very tasty but there was 2cm of water at the bottom of the rice bowl. The chickpea curry was also tasty but it was cold and the vegetables were harder than al dente. There was also 2cm of water in the rice bowl.

5.8/10Shockingly bad service, had to go to bar for drinks, sat for 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order or even acknowledge us. Staff were hiding in the kitchen and it was quiet too - 33 customers sat at once and 4 staff. Food ok, a mix of brought in frozen items and freshly cooked food. Restaurant did not have our booking. Only rated it good value for money as meal was free due to previous complaint.
