We all enjoyed our meal, and were well looked-after by the staff. My only disappointment was that I asked for some bread to accompany the salad I had ordered, and expressed a preference for brown. All they were able to provide was some toasted white bread (?ciabatta) that was better than nothing, but not really what I had hoped for. These days I don't think that wholemeal or granary bread is an unusual thing to request - especially as there is an excellent baker's shop about 2 minutes walk away! This is the second time this has happened to me there. Next time I might have to take my own bread roll.
