The girls serving us were absolutely amazing! Lovely atmosphere created by warm and welcoming staff. The food was very good too. There was lots of pressure and very busy due to it being Mother’s Day but the girl serving went out of her way to get my mother in law a chair with arms, it made her feel very special!! ????

Very disappointed as we left without having our meal. We only had a starter and a couple of drink and we waited over 1.5 hours for our main course which was still not ready. It would have helped if we had notified been that due to illness only one chef was available. When it did become apparent we decided to leave. The service staff however were polite.

We have been here a lot over the last few years as it is dog friendly but this time it was a real let down. The portions have shrunk ,the service was adequate and some of the food was cold. Usually the staff have been really friendly, which makes a big difference to the ambience and the whole dining experience so we won't be rushing back

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The menu was varied and food great although a bit expensive. The service was quick seeing how busy they were. Will go again.

Food was lovely, didn’t have to wait long at all for the food to served. The main reason for the great experience was the lovely waitress, I wish we asked for her name, fab with the kids and just overall really friendly.

Hadn’t been for years , so quite a nice lunch with some friends. Good clean standards , food choice was OK , PERHAPS could be more salad or healthy options, I had the duck salad , a little bit too much carrot

The pub and restaurant had a nice setting , staff very friendly. The change over of staff meant a 45 minute wait for desert . Felt paying £95 for a meal was a little expensive as our steak wasn’t the best . Apart from that it was nice

An excellent restaurant. A 30 minute drive to get to, but totally worth it. The food is excellent, well presented and delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive. All staff are polite and exceptionally efficient. Can't wait for our next visit.

We were more than happy with our evening. We really were pleased with the excellent food and its presentation. The staff were most helpful and friendly. We asked them for assistance to complete our Vintage Inns App. They were most attentive to us. We also commented between ourselves how nice the ambience was and how clean and clean the restaurant was. We had a lovely evening.

Have used this restaurant for many years from when it was first built and sorry to say the standard of the food dived last night! The chicken pie had a drastic lac of Chicken!, Ribeye steak a bit tough, added portabella Mushrooms and pepper corn sauce from the menu, The Mushrooms was one small Mushroom ! The Pepper Corn sauce converted to jus. Very disappointed first night after Corvid year. The Bar staff are friendly and welcoming ! The restaurant Manager on the night was very apologetic and tried to resolve the issues but the meal was over! the kitchen let her down. Hope they can resolve issues within the kitchen and get back up to standard off been one of the best places to eat in Wakefield.

We really enjoyed our lunch at The Red Kite. The menu was varied and had something for everyone in our family group, including our granddaughters who came at the last minute so it turned into a party of eight. The staff accommodated this very helpfully and the service throughout the meal was excellent.
