6.5/10The server was amazing, absolutely wonderful! However, the food was extremely disappointing. The ambience was pleasant, music too loud but the server very kindly lowered it for us.

10/10We visited the restaurant at 5pm before going to the theatre. The food was served quickly and the staff were very pleasant, especially our waitress Juliana. The food was to an excellent standard and my father in law commented that it was the best pork belly that he has tasted and he's 80! Excellent restaurant that I would definitely visit again when in London.

9.5/10Lovely staff, delicious food, great decor . We wanted a relaxed ambience, to catch up and chat with our son. and it was perfect for that! Service was excellent.

7.5/10Really a hotel dining room and so very hard to find as there seems to be no sign for it on the facade of the hotel. Once inside for a late dinner we were virtually alone. Service and food were fine.

5.5/10Reservation did not come through but we were seated quickly Service was friendly and food good quality but arrived lukewarm - which for the price was disappointing. Two orders were also forgotten. Cocktail was well made

10/10Very well located for St Martins Lane’s many theatres, although not very obvious from the outside. We were warmly welcomed, seated immediately and equally warmly welcomed by the waiter. There was a good range of options which should enable anyone to find something to their taste. We chose Tempura Crab and Duck for starters, both were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. For Mains we had the Cod and the Corn fed Chicken. These were equally delicious and once again beautifully presented. Overall the nicest meal we have had in Central London for some considerable time and definitely somewhere we will return to at the earliest opportunity.

10/10Our first time at The Restaurant and we were not disappointed, we were meeting our family from the USA and we all enjoyed excellent food, a lovely calm setting and a most delightful waitress who looked after us extremely well.

8.5/10Don’t tell anyone about this gem in the heart of the West End - it’s an oasis of calm. Good food, great service. Perfect for pre or post- theatre - until everyone else finds out. So mum’s the word! (Ask for Juliana - she’ll take care of you)

2/10Terrible! They managed to spoil my husband’s birthday. Made us wait 1.5 hours for food which was inedible and the wrong items we ordered. When the food finally came it was burnt, cold and rubbery. At the end I just wanted to get out of this horrific place.

9.5/10Lovely restaurant, excellent service, and the pre theatre menu was excellent. The food came promptly and it was very tasty. Extra bonus was the glass of house wine that was included in the fixed menu price.

7/10The starter of smoked duck was delicious and very nicely presented. The main course of fillet steak and beef cheek was also very tasty but had no vegetables apart from potato Rosti yet the there been no option for additional veg on the menu. A pity as what was on the plate was gorgeous just unbalanced by veg. The dessert of tart tatin was very disappointing. Not a tart tatin at all. It was a small disc of pastry topped with spiced chopped apple. Style over substance I thought.

9.5/10Great food and service, with an interesting menu, beautifully presented and cooked. The wine by the glass in excellent but on the expensive side. Good location for nearby theatres.

3/10Two for pre-opera dinner at 6pm, dining a la carte. We ordered a bottle of the house white, priced £35, but were charged £46 for a different bottle of wine. We were also charged £11.50 for a gin and tonic, which we never ordered. As we wre in a hurry to be in time for the opera (and service, at least initially) had been slow, I only discovered these wrong charges when inspecting the bill more carefully back at home - I HAVE KEPT THE BILL! Our waiter, although trying his best, was Agency temp, and was not at all familiar with the menu, which caused all manner of confusion at the beginning. My main was a Cesar Salad, which consisted of a lettuce cut in half (no, the leaves had not been separated, washed individually and tossed!). This was plonked on a plate, with some indifferent dressing squirted on top of it from a bottle (certainly not a freshly made emulsion dressing). There were no crutons, but a couple of ghastly baguette melbas with melted cheddar (no, not Parmesan) that had slid off them, and not a hint of anchovies, but something called "bacon dusting". Altogether, one would probably get better in a school canteen, and wouldn't have to part with £12 for the pleasure of eating half a lettuce. When Asia de Cuba was housed there, this place was special. What they now have in its stead is specially dreadful.

7.5/10The menu was not extensive but everything was well done, especially the puddings which were very imaginative. Very nice and friendly staff. I will certainly come back.

7/10Food was excellent, ambiance was okay, but the service was so disappointing I had the service charge removed from the bill. Virtually every time someone came to our table, it was someone we had not seen before. The second glass of wine requested when the main course was served arrived long after the meal was eaten.

10/10The staff are always accommodating to double check if an item is Halal or has any alcohol in. The chef has also changed recipes to cater for our gluten intolerance. Have always visited with friends for lunch. Hope to try out their GF afternoon tea soon.

7.5/10Disappointing in that the 'spicy' prawn balls were not spicy but bland; oregano & balsamic chips were very dry & no evidence of balsamic; monkfish good good

6/10Expensive and little quantity of food, it is a hotel restaurant and not a fancy restaurant to have to pay that price. There is a music bar next to the restaurant and you can hear the music from the table.

10/10I had been to the restaurant years back and brought my friend for a birthday lunch. The staff were super attentive, and the chef paid extra consideration to my Gluten and Lactose intolerance by adapting my dishes. My friend and I were super impressed with the composition of the dishes, flavours and intricate dressings. Would highly recommend. They even do a Gluten Free afternoon tea which is a rarity in London.
