5.5/10A little disappointed on our latest visit hence lowish rating. Soup starter not very hot and very thick, so mentioned this to the waitress who agreed to inform the kitchen. Sunday Roast should have been hotter and broccoli was under cooked. Otherwise staff pleasant but as it was very busy, this resulted in long wait’s between courses. However would visit again.

10/10We really enjoyed the food - quality was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful but we didn’t feel rushed. The restaurant very light and airy which helps to make it an enjoyable experience.

10/10Several of us had the vegetarian roast which we all thought really nice; perhaps over-generous in quantity - none of us could quite finish it. The service and everything were very good and we hope to return.

8/10Lovely evening.. restaurant staff were welcoming & the Christmas decor was beautiful!! It was cozy & warm, food better than expected, only downside was waiting 1hr 15mins for our food.. we were very hungry!!

10/10It was my wifes 82 nd birthday. I chose the Royal Oak having used it in the past,Iwas not Disappointed. The service was very good,the food excellent.The ambiance in the Restaurant made our meal very pleasant.Thank you.

2/10There was 1 waiter 1 bar person . Simply not enough , we sat at our table for 20 minutes watching the poor waiter rush around doing his best and apologising for the wait..We could see it was going to be a long wait

7/10We like this place has nice ambience but he staff are friendly and approachable. My lamb rump was a bit tough not sure if it should have been cooked a bit more but it was tasty. There was several things missing that they’d run out of but that’s understandable in the light of everywhere else is struggling with deliveries. I would like to see a change in the menu occasionally as we go to vintage inns quite regularly. Overall an enjoyable meal and l didn’t have to cook or clear up. Magic!!
