Fabulous
In general a very pleasant experience.Food was very tasty/good portion size and the waitress was very attentive.Only problem was service was slow at times but understandable as they were busy.
Fab place, music was banging. I will defo visit again soon and highly recommend to anyone wanting great food, cocktails and atmosphere Staff fun and friendly
Amazing food with exceptional service. The atmosphere was so chill and also the cocktails ????immense
It was so so, service wasn’t great half the restaurant was empty and the waitress tried to sit a couple next to us which didn’t make sense. Not enough variety on the menu and food was luke-warm when it came out could be a lot better. Didn’t get one of my starters either. Good cocktails !!
Food and atmosphere was great. They had a DJ which made it a great vibe. Recommend the fried chicken and mac and cheese and the pineapple cocktail
Last night was my third time to this restaurant, and I've enjoyed it especially the music, however last night was a bit of an annoyance for two reasons. We ordered drinks and noticed they didn't come with straws so because our server had walked away, in the space of 10min we asked two ladies who promised to come back but never did. We then asked our server who repeated that for some sort of charity reason they are not giving straws, that they came only with certain drinks. We explained because of the amt of crushed ice we would not be able to drink it as is. So in the end we had to change our drinks because they refused to give us straws. The other thing is that I am not a rice and peas fan so the two times before I asked for it to be swapped with fries and they had never charged extra but last night we had a message from the manager that an extra £1 would be added to the bill. So I ask how much more does rice and peas cost to a bag of sweet potatoes. I found it a bit ridiculous so we decided to give this place a time out.
A great experience on Christmas eve. The food was tasty and really authentic. There was also a good selection of rums on offer. The service was friendly and food/drinks arrived quickly. The background music was pleasing and in keeping with the theme. The decor/facilities was a little rustic for my taste, but I would definitely return for another visit.
Great venue! Lovely staff, fab food and drinks!
Food fab fab forgot to bring our staters but apologised waitress a little over zealous
Being West Indian I thought it was worth giving this place a try and I’m afraid I wish I hadn’t! The starters were utter nonsense for a West Indian menu. The starter of chicken nuggets were tasteless and refried before serving which made them taste like rubber, my mains BBQ chicken was sufficient however the rice was awful, completely no favour- however if you are not West Indian this place would suit you just fine as you won’t no the difference, however for those of you really looking for authentic taste try shepherd bush or Dalston. The service was slow and they allowed people who were waiting for a table to stand next to our table, which was pretty ignoring when they kept looking down at our plate staring at your food and then knocking our table...come on, sort this out, allow people to enjoy their food with people who they have invited to the table.
Great place to take friends after visiting Carnaby Street
Food was good as always. Happy hour for cocktails is always a winner
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here Saturday early evening. It was busy but the service was the perfect balance and our waitress was Uber bubbly. The food was great, the cocktails were to die for and the the music the DJ was playing was infectious. ( chair dancing happened !) we’ll be back and I totally recommend going there
Food was amazing and came quickly but service was slow, had to ask the waiter to order food and drinks and drinks only came after food, almost done eating and had to call the waiter to ask where drinks were. Also asked for bill and once bill was on the table we waited 15 mins and eventually got up and walked towards the door asking anyone to please help us pay so we could go. Love Rum Kitchen, always good service, but yesterday was shocking
Really nice food and cocktails. The server, however, whilst being attentive, completely rushed us out of the restaurant. We ate our meals in half an hour - and when we said we didn't want desert she brought over the receipt and the card machine. We hadn't even finished our drinks! We felt awkward as if she just wanted us to leave and it soured the whole experience. I'm not sure if The Rum Kitchen has any comments on this, whether they ask their staff to rush out paying customers? I don't think I would recommend this restaurant to friends on that basis. They treat you like you're in a fast food chain.
The food is spectacular — it really tasted like authentic food from the Caribbean! I was pleasantly surprised. Great music and ambience, cocktails were tasty, and the service was very good. I highly recommend!
Great value, great service and great food.
Food was beaut and loved the music in there
Sub-par starters, upsold from one cocktail to a pitcher, which was not entirely required. Music way too loud to have any semblance of a conversation.
The service was amazing, the staff were really attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. Friday night is a great environment with a DJ and a very good vibe. The food was good, I ordered the crispy fish burger and was a bit disappointed with the fact that it was more a lot bread than fish but what I did taste was lovely...just wish I had more. Overall a lovely experience and I will return but I would perhaps order differently.
