Service was perfect. Really enjoyed the ambiance and the setting. Would recommend 100%. The wine cellar next door is great as well - filled with lots of great local wines

We went to the Aristologist for our 1 year anniversary on Sunday and it was such a beautiful experience. It was so good to taste real homegrown produce in such a great atmosphere. We will be coming again!

I visit this restaurant regularly and it is always a fantastic experience, showing casing local product from their commune. Would highly recommend, espcially for people with gluten intolerances or vegetarian/vegan preferences.

The food was prepared with thought and skill which was evident in the superb taste to each offering of the chefs choice menu. The service was friendly, the wines refreshing in variety and quality. As a group of 5 we were totally very impressed and more than willing to return.

To be honest we were disappointed. The food was fine but no allowance really made for substitute if eg can't have bread or seafood. The service was slow and missing cutlery and servers, unfortunately the sauces were slopped over the table (by the waiter) and my Dad's trousers with no apology, the music was loud and when a request made to turn down, the response was "I'll check with the guys" ie the kitchen staff. Sorry but we found the service a bit amateur and disappointing..

The food just screams life - it's fresh, creatively curated and delivered to your table by people who love what they do. BUT The seats are diabolically uncomfortable , so you're not inspired to sit long. Be aware of this if bringing elderly company or anyone with even a minor back or hip issue. The 'Feed Me' option was one delightful surprise after another, as they wheeled out the whole menu bit-by-bit, slowing towards the end which, had we been on comfortable seats, would have been wonderfully timed.

Great food, pretty small compared to any other feed me menu I have done but that’s okay. It’s a shame the people waiting tables there are too cool for school and are more concerned about gossiping about a table of vips rather than getting you a drink that you ordered. Also I lost all respect when I asked as we were leaving if the pub down the road would have their collab beer as they had sold out and I was told it was unlikely and that I could pop in the following weekend as they would have more. I went to the pub down the road, they had heaps. So much for being collaborative *eye roll*

Sensational food and really interesting organic wines to pair my partner and I had the "don't think about it" menu to try a little bit of everything which was amazing but overpriced compared to their menu. The chefs were sensational to watch prepare the dishes in the open kitchen, and the house-made creme fraiche with the tart was spectacular! Unfortunately, the experience was let down by understaffing and mistakes by the FOH. We were seated for 15 mins before getting offered a drink which was then forgotten for another 10 mins. This was not the first drink order they forgot either. Wine bottles were lifted overheads, water spilled on the phone and bag, and no clearing between courses. They were friendly but seemed to lack the training and efficiency that is expected with great service.

Fantastic restaurant, this was my second visit and did not disappoint. We had the ‘Dont Think About It’ option, which let us try every dish on the menu! The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and the space was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Interesting and good value food. Interesting and quite expensive wine. Service was rather patronising, and loud rock music was not really appropriate ambience for us (they did not respond to request for reduction in volume). A memorable experience but unfortunately one I won’t repeat in a hurry.

These guys do a great job every time - this was our third visit over about 4 years. Food quality is always excellent. Wine is different, sometimes a bit challenging, but always interesting with some real gems. Everything about this place is right. Stephen

Absolutely loved everything about the Aristologist. Great simple food prepared to perfection. Delicious natural wines, so hard to choose what to have! And great service all around, all staff is just down to earth and genuine. Only comment is about markup on wines which is bit high, typically double the actual bottle price, probably can do a bit better on that level. Suggest do like east end cellars and allow people to choose their wines from the cellar door next door and add $15 corkage on top. Guarantee this would attract s lot more people to this little gem of a place and make this the place to go in the hills!

It was good, but our drinks (twice) & dessert were forgotten which made for a slightly disappointing experience. However the waiter did know his stuff & was very friendly!
