6.5/10I ordered the lamb rump and it was about seventy percent fat with just a small portion of meat in the middle. I had to send it back and the chef said that was what had been sent in this week. I was then given two slices of beef instead. We had to ask the waitress to amend the bill as charged for lamb.

10/10The refurbishment of the pub has been tastefully done and adds to the dining experience. The food was delicious and our server, Natalia, was friendly and very helpful. We made a change to our booking earlier in the day and this was done efficiently.

8/10I had the “pie of the day” - it was the best pie I have ever eaten. It was huge (a man’s size pie) so I never got through it. The vegetables were also amazing - spring onion mash and broccoli yum yum.

7.5/10Love the thatched house, but today it was so cold inside, I wore my coat and scarf all through the meal. Even my husband who doesn’t feel the cold usually, sad it was freezing. Food and service was good

9/10Friendly clean welcoming pub. Dont let the tired external appearance of The Thatched House put you off! I imagine smartening up the outside would be very expensive given its interesting almost-fairy tale design. Few restaurant businesses have spare cash for outside painting just now. The inside is spacious and bright with an imaginative nenu, food is cooked by talented chefs. Good choice of wine. Also there is an outside table area nicely shielded from this busy main road. (Plenty of parking, just take care getting on to the car park)

4.5/10The whole placed looked tired and worn both inside and out. The interior decoration was faded in places and the furniture showed signs of years of use. The portion sizes were small and extremely expensive for what they were. The menu was limited and uninspiring, much of which focused on burgers and pizzas. There wasn't enough staff on duty to adequately operate the restaurant and provided a reasonable service. There were no healthy eating options particularly with regard to desert.

5.5/10Lamb very tough vegetables a bit undercooked. Had to keep asking for condiments gravy and mint sauce. Ordered another white wine and beer but only beer turned up quite a while before I. Could catch a waitress eye to r3mind her wine hadn’t turned up.

5.5/10Staff excellent but food was well below par. Disappointed. Only had a light lunch. What go go wrong. Chicken tough and overcooked and sourdough bread like a crisp bread.
