Wonderful atmosphere with open fires, little alcoves etc a lovely old pub. Good menu and delicious meals. Staff were smiley and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here I feel it would suit friends family or couples equally

So much better since it has been taken over! The food didn't blow my mind but was very tasty. The kids meals are huge so very good value for money. Very good service, would recommend

Another great Sunday Roast here. Always great food, service, and ambience. Place of choice locally for a meal out. Roast Beef was perfect in every way, and always love it when you get a little jug of extra gravy without having to ask. As per usual staff attentive but not intrusive . Would recommend.

A welcoming atmosphere with pleasant staff and a reasonable menu. The food was well cooked and presented and very tasty. I had the hand made fish cakes, poached egg and new potatoes

We had a really nice meal here although the menu is a bit limited, especially if you are a vegetarian. It would be nice to see a bit more choice like some of the other vintage inns.

The staff were excellent, friendly yet professional. Our only grouse was that the food was luke warm at best, and the belly pork had no crackling, just soft skin. Food was tasty and puds wickedly delicious.

The staff have always been helpful and great at service. The food is tasty, well presented and on the generous side of portion control. The atmosphere is lovely, even with the current covid challenges. I’d definitely recommend this for a family dining experience or romantic night out.

Always like going to the White Lion, good atmosphere and always good friendly service. A little disappointing for food choice if a vegetarian, do not eat fish and looking for a hot meal, they have either pizza or a veggie burger that looks like meat.
