When we are in Birmingham visiting family we always go to Toby Carvery Hall Green because we know we are guaranteed a lovely Sunday Roast from the Carvery. We have never had a bad meal, if you want larger portion plate you can just ask. I would always recommend a Toby Carvery. A good price , staff asked if we were OK if we needed more drinks, Staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely 10 out of 10.

There were 4 of us. The carvery for 3 was fine. One of us had soup. It was lukewarm andcthecbread was overheated and no butter .

We arrived early for our booking, welcomed and enjoyed a coffee. Everyone was very helpful. I have a mobility problem and staff were extremely caring.

Lovely welcoming staff. The food was lovely great choice of veg and all presented well bonus it was was nice and hot. The seating area was nicely decorated and very clean. Will definitely come back again.

Arrived to a very sticky table for 2. No Ales, just lagers or creamflow bitter. The carvery area was grubby, carrots and peas walked into the tiles around the servery and adjacent carpet. Hand sanitiser bottle at start of servery, next to the plate pick up empty. Food luke warm Cauliflower mostly thick stems, hard as rock. Dauphinoise potatoes very hard. For £11.49 pile it up, not bad. However not a nice experience.

Absolutely lovely carvery food, Help yourself style ...friendly staff, great modern music , and it was really cheap too ! We enjoyed it.... and we will definately come back again soon .

It was good to return to having a carvery at our local Toby. However, the food on offer was a little disappointing. Our booking was at 12.30pm (only half an hour after the lunch carvery starts) but the turkey carcass was literally that - hardly any breast meat on and it looked quite dry under the heat lamps. Can believe most of it used in such a short time after start of lunch. The pork, gammon & beef were acceptable. As regards the vegetables, the mash potatoes were very lumpy and tasteless ; there was another dish which was unrecognisable to what it might be - it was just a mush of white stuff with green bits in. Possibly leeks, but did not have it as it looked so unappetising : there were other dishes of carrots, peas, cauliflower, roast potatoes & onions in gravy. But no parsnips or new potatoes. Disappointed to what we remember a Toby carvery used to be presented like.

I’ve been dining here for a number of years with family and friends and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is always top class and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Toby Cauvery, Hall Green, 10/10 every time.

We were seated next to our friends as requested 2 tables of 4. Tables were very sticky and appeared to have not been wiped down. We chose the carvery which was nice we all had a dessert majority chose the sundaes which looked very nice but each of our party who had them said that it was more of a drink rather than ice cream we spoke to our waitress who referred it to her manager and they deducted the charge off our bill for these but she did say that the ice cream machine wasn’t upto temperature which probably she shouldn’t have been telling the customers this information! It would have been more professional to say it at the time of order so perhaps our party could have chosen an alternative dessert.

The staff were lovely but the meat in the meal was tough and hard to eat. Pudding was lovely. Rest of meal was good and good to eat out finally and good value for money.

Extremely helpful staff, had booked a walking disabled table at an actual table had not been reserved, it was a case of find one that suits, fortunately one was free to allow me to sit on a chair rather than fixed seating.

Our party of eight were served by a very friendly waitress who was very patient with our group as we all arrived at different times and the restaurant was extremely busy. Everyone enjoyed the carvery and didn't have to wait too long to be served considering how many people were there.

We all went here as a family for my Dads 72nd Birthday. We were disappointed as the room was very hot and uncomfortable. None of us could finish our meals because of the heat. The Air Conditioning was turned off because where it is situated in the ceiling people complain that it makes there meals cold.
